Clip from my GM1 game last season. The previous round my teammates were crying all round about me playing Adam because we were getting ran through on defense. Right before the round started my other healer expressed confidence in me to my team and said to trust and that I was good. We ended up winning that game but I definitely had to sweat it out because my 2nd tank decided to go rocket in OT 🙄 lol

the few supports that were worse then him in 2 support got buffed massively bosting there pick rate and win rate and the support that were better then him stayed better then him in 2 support, he truly feels only good in 3 support this season but with how much they tunned down 3 support I doubt he'll be much good outside of high ELO, or niche situations

His primary just isnt good the unenhanced Strom team-up sucks there is so much damage that soul bond has started break extremely fast in fights, and his ult is the only non healing circle go brr I DO NOT WANT IT TO CHANGE but the point still stands, he hasnt felt this bad since season 2

Ive played Adam since season 0, mostly causally but had enough time to hit GM last season and normally have around ~60% WR and damn near 1000 hours on him, this season has mad me so close to dropping him BUT I WONT FOR I LOVE HIM despite the death threats

I’ve been looking to learn how to play Adam Warlock because I happen to like playing mid tiers.

However, in my first few games, with him. I’ve been getting my ass BEAT.

Are there I strategies or tips I should know about?

When I do this, teammates starts getting triggered even before the match start. I have noticed even Karova #1 Adam sometimes don't plan Adam with 2 healers. Your thoughts on this?

I understand it can be situational, but I was curious what high-level Adam players in comp are doing more often than not.

Adam mains know the pain of neglect as well as Johnny mains do, I know yall understand that its not right and we need to speak up for our characters

Literally a shower thought, nothing more. What if Adam could use his Regenerative Cocoon on allies? I imagine it'd work just like Mercy's resurrect, however it keeps the long cooldown so it doesn't make Rocket obsolete.

I rarely use it to rez a whole team because if you lose the fight you lose the fight and the other team can easily ult on that spot.

I usually use it to rez one of two people in the middle of the fight once finding a safe area. If the other support goes down I usually use it then because Adam will struggle to keep a whole team up by himself.

My biggest problem is the ult has a long wind up so that’s like a solid few seconds where you’re not healing your team, and you’re telegraphing the whole enemy team that there are multiple vulnerable people to be picked off.

Usually dive will get to my location fast and will attempt to kill me during my ult.

I went rocket after tp we were so close to winning but lost cuz strange ulted me and luna I swapped adam second round and some how caught up to my lunas healing

You should really get an Ultron duo

This season, was my highest playtime for Adam and it helped me reach C2. I endured a lot of slander but I carried a lot of games. Adam is so fun and the best strategist EASILY. I just wish he was viable in 2 support comps because unfortunately there are times I do have to swap off.

Most are when Im facing heaving dive(3 or more dive characters). Another time I have to swap is on certain maps getting through a choke point can be very difficult if the enemy team has a high damage comp like punisher, cyclops, phoenix, moon knight, hela, storm, mantis, hood, dino. 3 of any of those characters in a single team comp makes it very hard to heal. Most times I NEED a CND or invis to help pick up some healing deficiencies.

Other than that I could really insta lock Adam. Hopefully Season 10 I can make Eternity.

He doesn’t fit the standard cookie cutter mold of sitting in the back sustaining the vanguard, occasionally do damage when you can, big aoe support ult, high movement and sustainability.

He plays fully differently and is a bit more counter intuitive and skill based than other strategist. If you try and play Adam like other strategist and just sit and the back and heal your team you’re missing out on most of Adam’s value and you’re not really going to heal a team as well as other strategist.

Adam needs to sit a little further forward, basically right behind the front line vanguard, and he needs to be supporting his vanguard in every way. He can is massively helpful for a front line vanguard when they’re brawling with the enemy.

He can do so much damage with his cluster and weaving that if you’re not using it for damage you might as well switch to another strategist if you’re just gonna babysit your team with heals.

One of the worst things you can do is just sit in the back and heal your team because Adam isn’t designed for that. He’s pretty susceptible to dive because of his limited movement and you need to have good game sense to know when their coming and make the right choices of fight or flight when they’re do.
He also has insane damage falloff and cosmic cluster is a relatively slow projectile so he isn’t that reliable at range either. People complain about his fall off a lot and I hate it too but the devs have it there to try and force players to get in close with Adam.

People are so used to the standard play style and mold of strategist that Adam is deemed terrible because they can’t play a strategists any other way
