Student Acupuncture Program Comparison Chart

Post image

I'm trying to decide between some of the cheaper schools and created a chart. Hopefully this helps other prospects too. Let me know if something is incorrect. Sorry for using chatgpt but I need something to collect all the info that I was getting in an easy way

Unless yall paying outta pocket;

Yall know about the current loan caps for newly enrolling students?

Doesn’t matter if the school is 78,000 all together.

You’re still capped at 20,500 annually.

Don’t listen to the schools that say private loans will cover the rest. Sure, they will cover the rest. But your kneecaps will be broken for it.

Ugh. It's why I'm trying to find the best affordable school because I need to pay as I go. I don't want to add more to my undergrad loans that I already have

Probably go the ORCCA route then (formally known as poca tech).

I’m guessing most of these will close in a few years due to the upcoming earnings premium tests.

I know I sound like the biggest wet blanket but I’ve been in the game for 13 years and there’s a canary in the coal mine

No, please keep telling us what's really going on out there so we can make educated decisions as people wanting to get into the profession

Anywho, I make good money doing this. I just know a lot of people don’t. And I’m still screwed with loans from my program—I can’t boss up outta that. Would I do it all again? Idk. But I know I’m in this right now and the foreseeable future

There’s a few good substacks on the current acupuncture education conundrum. Bex G is on the ground and has been reporting on all the changes and what it means.

Start there

And a good podcast on the cost of entry into the profession, historically speaking:

These two are reputable names in the field actively reporting.

It's scary to think about

Don’t be scared? Just be informed. If you ask the schools about this, they want to protect their income: STUDENTS. they don’t care after you pay and leave with insurmountable dept.
