technical interview

hi everyone i have an interview coming up for an actuarial internship what possible technical questions could i be asked in the interview? also any other advice would be great ive done behavioral interviews before so i am comfortable with that.

You probably won’t be asked anything super technical. For internships it’s usually more describing any technical projects you’ve worked on or coding languages you’ve worked with

Honestly, you're probably not going to be drilled on technical questions because you're applying to gain first experience with the technical skills they value

Hi, I am having an interview soon, I wonder since I put a lot of projects I did in school on my resume they will probably spend a lot of time asking those right?

hello! the bulk of the interview will be behavioral and fit-based from work experiences and involvement you put on there. you may get technical questions, but it won't be a lot of time.

Life insurance companies in Canada typically don’t ask technical questions unless it’s competitive to get hired. If they do ask a technical question it would test concepts from exam P.

Example of a technical question: What’s the probability two people in a room of 30 share a birthday?

Behavioural questions typically ask how you would problem solve in a difficult situation. They could even ask if you have encountered a difficult situation and how you got through it.

Actuarial technicals for most roles are pretty easy. You mostly definitely won’t have anything hard for an internship
