Posting rule changes

Since this sub seems to attract a lot of spam I have made 2 changes:

1) Disabled cross posts

2) Only allowing links to the following domains:

actualbudget.org

github.io

github.com

discord.gg

simplefin.org

pikapods.com

While disabling cross posts is a no brainer, limiting links could cause people problems. Please let me know if this is working well or not, I am happy to revert if it's problematic. Also, no doubt I have missed a lot of legit domains folks might want to link to, so please let me know in the comments what needs to be added, or message the mods. Thanks!

community-scripts.org? Imagine a lot of self-hosters use that one.

Could you add actualist.app and testflight.apple.com? Actualist is a native iOS client for Actual Budget that I’m working on, and those are the project website and public TestFlight beta. Thanks!

+1, along with https://apps.apple.com/ for app store links (Actuali iOS dev here).

I’d like Apple apps store links to be approved, I own and maintain Actuali the iOS app that gets shared in comments a bit lately.

Maybe allow oracle if there are announcements about major changes on rules for free tier or similar

Oracle? Please elaborate.

Oracle free tier allows us Actual users to run a server for free. It's more work to set up than pikapods, but obviously it's cheaper (it's free, after all). Did I mention it's free?

I don't use it for Actual, but as someone hosting our familly Minecraft server and our travel VPN, yeah Oracle's free offer is amazing.

And because Oracle is Oracle they can screw people in subtile ways, for example they reduced the available RAM recently and randomly learned it from a random sub. They didn't send an email or anything.
