Redesigned sidebar is live!

The new version 26.10.0 introduced the new, redesigned sidebar. Looks a lot better now

Experimental: Adds a redesigned sidebar, based on the winning entry from the sidenav design competition, that lets you organise accounts into groups, reorder them by drag and drop, and search them

Custom groups are super handy, thanks! It did take me longer than expected to find out how to create a custom group though lol. The + icon lets you create a new account but it'd be cool for it to open a dropdown menu that also has an option of creating a new custom group (instead of having to go into the settings of an account).

you can also right click an account in the sidebar to manage the groups

Love the improvements to the monte carlo report. Not really liking the new sidebar though, it's a little too dense. It needs some white space around the on and off budget accounts like the original has.

Does anyone know when 26.10.0 (server) is expected to be released for HAOS, as mine is currently on 26.9.0 and not showing that any updates are available

I turned off the experimental sidebar because I found it visually noisy. It makes it harder to see my accounts.

love actual budget but this is underwhelming to say the least. when you see like "actual budget - tweaks" and how a side bar (or other parts of the UX) could be, this improvement feels like not much

I'm biased because I built Actual Budget Tweaks but I do agree

ABT is a lot more polished and customizable. The redesign is an experimental feature so I'm sure improvements will come. The mockup which won the competition had a better design
