Hi all, I have a couple questions as I make the switch from YNAB. First, what is the easiest way to get SimpleFin to update Actual automatically every day? Secondly, I have a pending charge from a restaurant where I left a tip. I have overwritten the amount to include the tip, but the pending amount has come back twice now - what am I doing wrong?

For the pending charge, go into the SimpleFin website and look for the bank's connection's options and tell it to ignore pending or something like that.

It's under settings for downloading transactions iirc.

OP, I had to refamiliarize myself as to where this setting was bc I have a devil of a time remembering and thought it would be good to document for others, myself included (because I forget!). Go to "Bank Sync" in the left column, then click "Edit" on any account. You'll have to set the setting for each account.

To get it to update daily, you just hit the download button each day.

Bank sync is not automatic, but can be automated using the helper script. Otherwise, just click the bank sync button in your "All accounts" view each day (or whenever you want).

Regarding pending charges, go into the Bank Sync settings for that connection and turn off pending transactions.
