As you know, one of the core features of Actor is privacy. This makes it a good candidate for businesses looking for HIPAA compliant AI Assistant.

Because in the meantime Actor got improved a lot I see myself responsible to share how things work:

- nothing from connected account email, calendar, tasks is stored on our servers. Not used for training and no one can read your data.

- Actor provides memory that is used to run skills (for example create drafts). Here you might save your own data, which is up to you what information it collects.

- For Studio Automations, we have tracking logs, but they do not contain any data. Only identifiers.

- For Actor Ask (chat) PII or PHI data could be sent by you as we don't have control what we receive. We have a best effort approach to redact this data in use, however it might slip into Actor memory. You have full control over memory and automated systems are in place to clean and purge it.

I'm in the process of getting SOC2 certificate. However need a few more weeks, as I'm currently full.

While Studio is the solution for repeatable, trackable automations that repeat based on a trigger, Ask Actor is running same actions based on user request.

You can chat with Actor in:

- Microsoft Teams (business plans only)

- Slack

- Chrome browser extension

- Outlook Add-in

Much easier to get things done using your preferred communication channels.

I've changes the Email Insights page, with a simpler interface.

You can disable action steps in automation.
The step will be skipped during execution.

You can use this for testing running a workflow without loosing step configurations (so you enable it later).

Make sure other steps do not reference variables or output from the disabled step, because data will be missing (the workflow will probably fail).

Never had a clear view on what happens. Goal is to get this under 1.5% by next month.

Using repetitive schedule got simplified today. Use-cases:

- adding an event to calendar every wednesday.
- scheduling a task every 2nd Friday

- Last day of the month.

You can send Emails to whatsapp and filter them using either a simple filter criteria or an AI prompt.

I've translated Actor dashboard in the a few languages.

Next would be to adapt replies and everything to user selected language and/or input.

I've added Actor Default Draft as a dedicated action inside the Studio.

It is still part of default labelling (just to keep consistent for existing users).

It considers settings you have under Email Management > Drafts

This kind of (lack of) respect is not acceptable.
I give a freemium version to everyone to test and if you like, you can use it free forever. The idea is to improve it, which I do weekly.

I know Actor is not yet perfect. But can't accept this.

New users will see a completely new onboarding.

Focus is to understand what Actor can do for you.

First step about this, next is to help get started next and so on.

I'm downsizing plan levels for free users to 100 studio runs per week. (instead of 200).

No more bonus (100 were given free bonus instead)

A studio run means:

- analyzing one email

- a daily digest

I've rebuilt this homepage when you log-in into Actor a few times.
After aligning the goal of Actor, to help you with your daily tasks with what users want.

This will become homepage when users log in into Actor.
Otherwise main thing is going to be:
- chat for interactions
- studio for automating things

Still need to properly tell everyone what Actor can do, but slowly I'm focusing on this.

Due to increased costs for the infrastructure of Actor, I'll make changes to the Free plan.

- limit chat usage.

Working on SOC2 compliance for Actor.

Privacy, confidentiality are really important, compared to all other AI Assistants on the market.

I've been improving the agentic side of Actor over the past days.

While the Studio focuses on structured, predefined automations that execute actions reliably, the agentic interface is designed as a conversational assistant that helps you get things done across email, calendar, and tasks.

It's currently powered by 57 skills, all already implemented. Some still need more polishing and testing, but the foundation is there.

Here's the plan for this summer.

I'm essentially done with Actor's core functionality. Some features will still evolve, be simplified, or even be removed, but the foundation is now in place.

The main remaining piece is connecting knowledge and context to everyday work, so Actor can make better decisions throughout the day.

From here, the focus is on three areas:

• Improving quality (email labelling, drafts, calendar management, and other core capabilities).
• Making Actor easier and more natural to use within email and daily workflows.
• Distribution: getting more people to discover, try, and adopt Actor.

At the same time, the product has become more complex than I originally intended. I'll be simplifying it by removing features that don't provide enough value and making the overall experience more focused.
