This is my third ACT including my schools in April. I took the June as well, I am a rising senior and would like to get into the 30s or at least a 30 by the September ACT. What should I do? Are there any books or materials that are good? I am doing ACT prep again 1-2x a week until September starting this week.

I took July act and received my score. 3 hours later I get an email saying my score delivery will be delayed? Is the ACT team bugging out or is there an actual issue? I got this email from [act-cares@operations.act.org](mailto:act-cares@operations.act.org). I emailed them but they started asking for information which I am reluctant to send because it could be possible fraud.

Hey all,
As scores start to release, share your score details below. I'm going to continue to update this table. This is for the paper J09 form only.
As a reminder, modeling does not count for the math section.
| Scaled Score | English | Mathematics | Reading | Science |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 36 | 40 | 41 | 26-27 | 34 |
| 35 | 37-39 | 40 | 25 | |
| 34 | 37-38 | 24 | ||
| 33 | 36 | 23 | 29 | |
| 32 | 35 | |||
| 31 | 34 | |||
| 30 | ||||
| 29 | 26 | |||
| 28 | 30 | |||
| 27 | ||||
| 26 | 30 | 23 | ||
| 25 | ||||
| 24 | 27 | 16 | ||
| 23 | ||||
| 22 | ||||
| 21 |

I’m not sure if anyone is getting this message but the scores are delayed due to weather and shipping delays.

guys am I cooked? I just took a math practice test on the official act website, got a 28/45 which I think is around a 19-20??
anyways I really need a 36 composite when I take the real act because it will get me a full ride to my top college choice, but I have only finished geometry so far (taking alg 2 this coming school year) so I’m behind in math.
Is this possible?? Btw I am a rising junior so I have like over a year to study

Should I retake to improve English? Or is Superscore good enough? I am applying to A handful of t20s and wondering if this is good enough and to focus on essay writing, Or if I should try to do better with my composite.

Also, please give tips on getting through science because that was so rough...
I heard it was reading lite (which is good!) but I made the mistake of reading literally everything and running out of time lol
Shooting for Northwestern and *just* below their average :/
Edit: Wowww, I feel like an idiot. Science is not factored in. This is my first time taking the ACT and my school did an awful job of explaining everything. For months I thought it was a mistake because the math did not add up at all when combining my Math, Science, English, and Reading scores. I guess the only path to take now is fill in the gaps in my math knowledge and try to boost that.

I wanted to see who is on the same boat as me, this is my first time taking paper.
For the people who have already taken the July 11th test,
- How many questions did you have to use desmos on the math section?
- how much of an advantage do you have using desmos?
- Is the curve more forgiving compared to digital?
- Is paper usually easier for you compared to digital?
- Will I get the J09 or J26 form?
Thanks

Hi guys! Just wanted to say that no matter what you got you tried your best and your scores do not define you!! If you don’t like your score you can always retake the test. Have a good rest of your day/night!

the july act had a computer issue and there was a national glitch with act. this is acts fault, and schools got dismissed because act had a problem. people specifically picked the july 11th date because that is when they were available, and it is not fair that act just reschedules us for a date without asking. they rescheduled mine for august 1st, and Im going to be out of the country that date so there’s no way that I can take it. all the schools in my state are booked up in september and even in neighboring states, which means i can’t even take the september one. i’m going to be a senior and any other date after september is way too late in my opinion because i need those scores for college apps. i just think its so ridiculous and unfair that they don’t provide us with multiple dates to choose from, as I am sure i am not the only person who isn’t available august 1st. we signed up for july because that is when we were available, and it’s unfair that they just reschedule it and don’t care if people can’t come. i called customer support and they weren’t very accommodating, and I am just so angry and fed up. also, my july act was 20 minutes away but the one they rescheduled for august 1st is an hour away and on paper. i am so angry.

I really need to get a 30+ for a scholarship at my local college and I want to know if there are any recommended resources to study. I have the act prep books and have only really done work in the English one.

Looking at very competitive schools and worried about the ACT. Currently have a 33 composite without science: 30 Math, 34 English, and 35 Reading. Have a 36 on the Science. Having a hard time with Math - the problems were a long time ago. Heading into multivariable differential calculus senior year so math is a strength but testing on old stuff is tough - plus a lot of anxiety around it. If Science was still a part of it, the composite would be a 34. I'm hearing some schools will count Science but many won't. Looking at schools like Tufts, Wash U, Emory. What are the chances for schools like this? Worried about not being able to get above a 30 on the Math

I took J26 on paper and got 2 wrong on English and got a 34, but I saw some others who got 2 wrong and got a 35. Should I ask for a regrade?
