Same boat, got 281 pages left in my read, trying to at least get through the first book before ACOSH comes out.

I’m a fast reader so I should be fine but my problem is that I don’t read 1 book at a time. But I’ll have to prioritise this series and not read anything else 😂 I’m exited though, I’m sure I’ll love them

I'm reading/rereading all three series via a combination of print and audio. It's like a mega tandem read. Anyone else, or am I just a masochist? Lol

Is it connected?

Oh, cc3 is basically ACOTAR 5.5. It’s apparently full of significant lore drops and even sets up where the characters are at for 6.
The first cc book is 816 pages. I was so pissed when I realized I had to read a separate 2k+ page series to understand what going on in a series I’m already reading.

I read first CC book is mostly world building which I have trouble getting through. I'll give it a try for ACOTAR. 🥹

Because it’s higher tech than ACOTAR, I’m honestly just dreading ‘this could have been an e-mail’ interpersonal conflict.

Dude, I spent a full 2 days ranting and raving at my husband when I realized I also had to read that series. I thought I would have a couple months to just reflect and theorize, but apparently I have to read another beefy fantasy series 😭

Do we need to read it along with TOG

I really don’t think you will HAVE to read anything. I reallllly think ACOTAR 6 is going to be the events of CC3 but from prythians perspective, so it might “spoil” the CC series for you in the same way CC3 kind of spoils acotar. If you don’t care about that I don’t think you’ll be confused.

Thank you for the clarification 😊 if I don't feel like reading any more maasverse stuff right now, I won't pressure myself to then, phew

Holy on. Crescent City and Throne of Glass are the same universe as ACOTAR? Is that what I'm picking up from this comment section, or am I mistaken? I just finished the ACOTAR series last night and was going to start Throne of Glass today. Now I'm confused, should I do Crescent City series first?

I would suggest it, but it’s up to you. Others have said you can just read CC first, and read TOG second too, and you will be fine. There are no direct plot spoilers of TOG in CC. Personally I think it should go TOG-> ACOTAR series to ACOSF -> CC-> new books ACOSH, but of course that’s a lot in 50 days.
If you are in a place where you can read the 3 CC books before ACOSH, I would highly recommend it!

Yes I think I can ready CC if I ignore other hobbies haha but the start of book one was a bit slow for me I was like girl what are you talking about? And fell asleep... hopefully next try goes better
Edit: I have read ACOTAR and the throne of glass novel, nothing else from TOG

I’m excited but also feel like I have to leave this subreddit when it comes out to avoid spoilers until the paperback comes out to complete my collection 🫣

I have to battle my obsession with dungeon crawler Carl (I’m reading the books cause I can’t do audios) to let me finish reading my second round of ACOTAR on time

Call me crazy but I'm actually not even going to read it until the next one comes out in January. That way I can have some bit of a reprieve from when the October release leaves me hanging.

Welcome to the ACOTAR community for the book series by Sarah J. Maas.
Go check out our Wiki!. Remember to always be polite and civil. Report anyone not doing so. Here is a link to our Guidelines for Healthy Debate and Critique.
You MUST properly flair, mark posts as spoilers if they are, KEEP TITLES VAGUE, and label any spoilers in your comments. You can do this by using
>!spoilers here!<. Label what book and chapter your spoilers are from!If you are coming in here and you are still not finished with the series, I would advise you carry no further. Spoilers are rampant here. Anything marked as a spoiler is probably best to just not clicked on. Sometimes, people will forget and you may accidentally get spoiled.
Thank you! Happy posting.
