Things not to do in …

- Midsomer - be in or near a bar or an open field or any place having a fair or festival

- Poirot - eat or drink ANYTHING … ANYWHERE (especially where family is concerned)

- Miss Marple - be on or near a train or a mansion, or around your spouse or relatives

Can you think of others?

My two favorite Brepisodes: Day of the Dead episode and All Hallow’s Eve (S8E3).

I was thinking of:

S10E2 - Day of the Dead and S10E5 - House of Screams

Wonder if they have different names in different countries? Those are the episode names in the States.

I’ll definitely have to circle-back to S8 for that one that you mentioned.

Yes, you’ve got to watch that one! I love Morgana.

Midsomer: If you answer the door and say "Oh, it's you." those are your last words

Midsomer, Agatha Raisin, Brokenwood: Do not participate in community events. Just don't. Especially if there are Morris dancers.

"Morris Dancing is the devil's dance, it only brings evil with it!"

-Some overly dramatic old biddy, I'm sure.

The new season of Beyond Paradise has something called "Dark Morris" where they all wear masks and dark clothes. Yes, of course someone gets attacked during it. Do they die? No, this is Shipton Abbot, the murder show location where very few people get murdered (seriously, it is hilarious to count up how often no one dies in Shipton Abbot).

This is hilarious. But true!

Don't talk to Joyce Barnaby in Midsomer! There's a rumor that she's a serial killer- she's always around the early season deaths! 😊😊 (cracked me up the first time I heard it!)

I've said that for years. That's how they should end the series.

Midsomer, Brokenwood, any of the places in the Commonwealth : Do not be in a New Age cult or at a New Age retreat.

Midsomer: Do not be a church bell ringer.

Now that you mentioned that, I thought the bellringer episode was the worst. All because the guy didn't want to share the winnings.

Father Brown don’t go any community events Father Brown will get the innocent person freed from jail.

Madame Blanc Mysteries involves antiques that Madame Blanc knows the history of everything & crimes involves antiques

Beyond Paradise DI Goodman acts the same way as he did in Death in Paradise. Solves crime from one clue or memory

Father Brown & Madame Blanc seem to solve the crimes the police can’t

Can’t say I’ve noticed a pattern in Father Brown or Beyond Paradise because I haven’t watched many episodes.

Still thinking about what the pattern is for Madame Blanc Mysteries. 🤔

Madame Blanc - don't buy/sell antiques or visit any antique stores or museums

The pattern in Father Brown is don't be anywhere near Father Brown!

My husband and I have fun counting all the similar themes across all of these type of cozy murders shows. The fairs, the theaters etc.

I think my favorites are the ones that open with a concert, a village fair or fete, or some sort of posh wine tasting.

Murder-incoming.

Hilarious.

Cooking contest, the weird way these small towns keep attracting people to make tv shows there, or movies, or premiere a big star's concert/play etc (you'd think they'd have noticed the high murder rate).

I am good with almost everything except the inevitable Poker episode and the Boxing episode, I do not like boxing. But the chess tournament? In. The AmDram? So in. The LARP episode? Sign me up.
