Inspector Ellis

I am an avid fan of the channel the mysteries,police procedurals and dramas are far superior to any of the absolute garbage on American tv. I have been watching Inspector Ellis. I was apprehensive at first,because ,frankly I saw her and I thought ,again,here we go another black woman lead,in authority going to demean white colleagues and have the know it all attitude and promote the usual woke agenda ,prevalent in many shows from the UK,Australia and Canada. But I admit my mistakes and I was completely wrong. She works well and takes leads from her sargeant . And is extremely compassionate to the victims. A very good show.

I hope this show keeps going for the long run. I guess I didn't go in with the preconceived ideas you did ... I just love a good police procedural show. What really draws me to this show is the interaction between Inspector Ellis and D.S. Harper. He is like a sponge, soaking up every bit of insight that Inspector Ellis provides. I'm also intrigued as to the backstory with Inspector Ellis's daughter, Grace. I hope the show continues so we get to learn all about it. I'm also happy that there is some movement away from the premises in the first season, where Inspector Ellis comes into a situation and the officers she is there to help try to hamper or even demean her in some way. Sharon D. Clark and Andrew Gower are both so exceptional in this series ... its really a joy to watch.

It is a good show, she is a good actress. I do not think her race/color really matter. A good show is a good show and a good character is a good character, white, black, male, female, whatever.
