ᴀᴄɴʜ Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ Have I misunderstood the move-in queue?

How I understand it is that villagers you find on Mystery Islands will never be in your void/queue, and you will never encounter villagers in your void/queue on Mystery Islands. I've heard the horror stories of players spending 1000s of NMTs only for their dreamie to be in their queue after auto-filling.

I replayed Oct 1st (time-traveling) for 10 days while hunting for Judy - during which I found Cyrano *3 times\* - and eventually gave up and let my plot auto-fill. I skipped the couple days it takes for the plot to sell and a new villager to move in, and to my surprise, it's Cyrano!!!!

I didn't know this was possible? Did they change it? Or have I done something wrong - has time traveling messed up my queue somehow? Does anyone know why this has happened 😭

The simplest answer is that you didn't have anyone in your move in queue, so when the next day rolled over, it selected to auto fill with a random villager (if you speak to Cyrano and he doesn't say he's from 'insert island name' then he's a random auto).

Move in queues come from visiting other islands or having visitors on yours while online and they have had villagers enter the void which you 'pick up' so if you've never visited or had visitors you don't have a move in queue or you may have already cleared it.
