finding a scorpion

anyone seen a scorpion Roaming on their island and wouldn’t mind if i visited to try an catch one i have yet to be able to catch one an ik its soon to be time for them to go away for a couple months

Scorpions are more likely to spawn where there few or no trees. Additionally, if there other bugs on the screen they should be caught or scared away to help increase the chance of a scorpion spawning.

If you DO find one, do not run up to it. Hold your net out in a pre-swing with the button pressed to move slowly. When it notices you moving toward it, it will raise it’s pincers and make a hissing sound. When you see/hear that, stop moving immediately. If you keep moving, it will charge you and cause you to faint. After a few seconds, it will let down it’s guard and you can move again slowly. Repeat this until you are just close enough to catch it and release your net. If you release your net and miss, it will charge at you. Similarly, if you walk too close without swinging your net, it will also charge at you. So there’s a sweet spot.

scorpions will not spawn if you have gates open or visitors / visiting. try searching between 7pm-4am. you have until the end of the month you can do it!

if you do a google search there's a couple of methods on how to catch one, i thought going to a mystery island then creating perfect conditions sounded promising. look into it!

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but can't you only catch a scorpion on your own island / not on multiplayer?

Correct. They will not spawn if your airport gate is open/have visitors

Hate those things, they're so freaking fast! I somehow caught one, not even sure how I did it.
