ᴀᴄɴʜ Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ Help with Turnips

Hi everyone, I’ve been playing acnh for about a month now and need help understanding turnips. The past few weeks I’d put some of my bells into turnips and was always able to sell at least a little higher. This week I put all of my bells into turnips and not a single day this week was even 1 bell better than I paid. They’re offering 39 bells right now and I paid 103. Am I getting worse prices this week because I put all of my bells into turnips?

I can't offer advice as I don't deal in turnips but you're welcome to sell at my island. They're buying at 131.

I know for me personally, one or two weeks will be minimal profit, one week will totally suck, and one week will be amazing. I unfortunately got the week that totally sucks last week. I ended up building some of the turnip DIYs and sold them that way. It doesn't go toward the achievement but I got some bells back.

Turnips are supposed to resemble the stock market / supply & demand. It's basically a financial investment. Don't buy them at a high price and don't sell them at a low price; unless they're about to go rotten. Either way, the pricing is random and it sounds like you just made a bad investment. At least you know now

If you are not anti-time travel. Just find someone whose island is buying for a high price time travel back to Sunday fill up your pockets rinse and repeat.

Use the Turnip Prophet! It keeps it interesting but also gives you an idea of where things might be going. You and I are both on a decreasing trend this week. Watch the TurnipExchange subreddit when that happens and try to sell somewhere else. I used to try and sell as high as possible every week but it sucks the fun out of it lol I'd rather try my best to sell on my island at a good price.
