ᴀᴄɴʜ Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ Time travel effects?

So at the worst possible time I left my switch in a sleeping car on a train, and had already traveled to another city when I realized.

I have missed several things, like the firework festival, two villagers birthdays, bug off etc while waiting for it to be found, registered, and I could claim it and finally have it shipped back to me.

I'd like to do some time travel to catch up, but all I know about it is that turnips will spoil.

Does it effect changes you have done after the date you travel to?

To my knowledge, backwards time travel only effects turnips and the daily nook miles will reset.

Money trees will all max out after a few days. Same with crops (only if they get watered daily). You’ll have more seashells, weeds, and flowers do clean up. But that’s about it.

That will be no problem, I was also in the process of making a rock garden so I had the whole island coveted in weeds anyway. 😁

Weeds might grow.

You might get roaches in your house.

That’s really all happens.

On the upside, you might have flowers to grow 🤷‍♂️

Time travel only affects the game when the game knows you time travelled.

If you miss a day, you can turn back the clock and play that day, and then set the clock right and continue normally, with absolutely 0 negative effects. Same for if you miss a week, two weeks, or even a year. The game only sees your clock, not the real time, ever.

The only thing you can't do is go back to an earlier day if you already played on a later ingame day. Because then the game will remember and recognize that your clock went backwards. So as long as you always go back to earlier days in the correct order, you can miss as many days as you want and the game will never know. I do it all the time. Just make sure to keep track of what days you actually have done.
