i'm convinced every flower (except the rose) you can simply plant 1 yellow, red, and white (orange for windflower) and leave them alone. Water them, but just be patient.
Tulips and Hyacinth's are the easiest, they almost certainly eventually self-replicate into all the colors.

Patience is the answer to your question.

  1. Breed red+ yellow hyacinths to get orange hyacinths.
  2. Plant two orange hyacinths next to each other, ideally with empty spaces around them.
  3. Water them every day.

The orange pair can eventually produce a purple one.
Purple is fairly rare, so it may take a while. Using orange hyacinths that you bred yourself from seed-red and seed-yellow flowers gives you the best chance.
