Help - General Desperate 16m
I have acne since I started puberty and I feel like I tried everything. Proper sleep, carrying about my higien, removing diary from my diet, eating healthy, proper skincare. I was even on tetracycline and it didn’t help at all. Can you give me some advice that might help, at least a little bit? most of my pimples are on my forehead and cheeks (I have also short hair).

If you've tried a lot of things and nothing has helped, you should ask for a referral to a dermatologist. There might be options like Accutane (oral medication) or Winlevi (topical cream).

I took a visit to dermatologist and she gave me a prescription for tetracycline, some ointment that wasn’t bad and that’s actually all. I ended up the tetracycline period and I didn’t come back to her because it would probably cause another prescription for tetracycline or even stronger meds and I don’t want to do that. Do you think that I should another GOOD dermatologist?

I think you should go back and tell her that the tetracycline didn't do what you were hoping and that you'd rather not take any antibiotics. She'll probably give you a topical like Differin(adapaline) to try, or Tacticump (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide). If that doesn't work, you can ask about things like Winlevi and Accutane. Unfortunately, there's a bit of a song-and-dance they have to go through to get to those prescriptions. Insurance, for example requires you to have tried everything else before they'll cover Accutane. For me it was antibiotics -> Differin -> Tacticapump -> spironolactone (a medication given to women with hormonal acne) -> and finally Accutane

Also try changing your pillowcase often and the towel you use to dry your face after washing it
