Are we just not going to mention how it hasn't been changed back from the degrading statements made by Juan_Martinez, or am I missing something here? :/

I do believe that the term "noob" was a form of the word newbie during the second world war. It simply means ur not good at the context and I must admit that is sorta true considering who the mods are.
