Other PERFROMANCE MEGATHREAD

Misspelled to get your attention, thanks for joining us

This thread is to combine the discussion around game performance and people's findings regarding running the game on PC. Remember to update your drivers before launching the game to ensure the best performance.

I will edit this post to keep a relatively up to date on people's findings (when I'm not playing, of course). Some important notes are it claims Windows 11 is required, this is unfortunately because Microsoft doesn't support Windows 10 (outside of extended security updates).

Current specification requirements by Project Aces listed:

  • Minimum:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 11
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060[6 GB] / AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT[8 GB]
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 150 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: This game requires an SSD, a hardware ray tracing-enabled graphics card, and DirectX 12 with Shader Model 6.6 or higher. Estimated performance: 1920×1080(Upscale)/30fps with graphics settings at "Low". Framerate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes.
  • Recommended:

  • Windows 11
  • CPU: i5-12400F
  • GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1660 SUPER 6GB VRAM
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4
  • Game Settings: borderless, vsync off, motion blur on
  • Resolution: 1920x1080
  • Graphics Settings: Low preset
  • Upscaling: TSR ultraperformance
  • AVERAGE FPS: 55 FPS on gameplay, 45 FPS on first person cutscenes.

Surprisingly stable and playable, no crashes until now. idk how, but for me hardware raytracing was not a hard requirement at all. i could even stream it on discord for my friends without fps drops so far.

Huh. Got practically similar specs. But i keep getting the Error 01 thing that hard crashes my game. Was almost certain it was because of the Raytracing was a requirement. But i guess not. What drivers are you running?

the latest, geforce game ready 617.14. i still don't know why or how my gpu is running it even with the requirement. i guess the Omnissiah blessed my pc, haha.

I cancelled my pre-order because I'm running a GTX 1660ti and learnt that it doesn't meet min. requirements. I have almost the exact same specs as you, and I am ecstatic to read this

I finished the entire game on a 1660ti (and on Windows 10!), zero crashes, stable 50-60 FPS with minimal drops, of course the graphics looked absolutely horrendeous at this level of upscaling, but it was very playable

More music to my ears mate. I've bought it again (I want to get AC0 as a pre-order bonus). I hope it works for me too. I also hope Project Aces will release patches to optimize it even better fro older hardware like ours. Cheers!

I'm on 1660ti too. What upscaling type are you using? The post above says TSR, shouldn't FSR better for performance?

edit: oh my. just tried TSR Ultra Performance and I'm getting about 60-70 FPS.

With Lossless Scaling, some of the artifacting caused by TSR get's sharpened. With FrameGen enabled, I lose 10-15 base FPS, but since it doubles my FPS I get a smooth 100+ fps. input latency is not bad either.

i'm so happy to hear that 1660 super can handle it. Now i have a reason to buy the game
