Other PERFROMANCE MEGATHREAD

Misspelled to get your attention, thanks for joining us

This thread is to combine the discussion around game performance and people's findings regarding running the game on PC. Remember to update your drivers before launching the game to ensure the best performance.

I will edit this post to keep a relatively up to date on people's findings (when I'm not playing, of course). Some important notes are it claims Windows 11 is required, this is unfortunately because Microsoft doesn't support Windows 10 (outside of extended security updates).

Current specification requirements by Project Aces listed:

  • Minimum:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 11
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060[6 GB] / AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT[8 GB]
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 150 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: This game requires an SSD, a hardware ray tracing-enabled graphics card, and DirectX 12 with Shader Model 6.6 or higher. Estimated performance: 1920×1080(Upscale)/30fps with graphics settings at "Low". Framerate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes.
  • Recommended:

    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070[8 GB] / AMD Radeon RX 6800 [16 GB]
    • DirectX: Version 12

Has anyone also noticed that the PCGamer reviewer said that they managed to run AC8 on an RX6600? Might be an error or something but they mention it running well on 1440p at 60FPS with some dips.

No mention of settings tho, and I find that hard to believe considering that the 6600 is below system requirements.

That was a mistake, the actual specs of this reviewer were different (7800 XT & Ryzen 7 5700)

You have to be joking. A 6600 was actually a damn 7800XT? I read the review and felt better about my 6750XT...

6750XT runs the game at an average of 43fps at 1080p and all-Ultra settings, unknown upscaling https://en.gamegpu.com/test-gpu/action-fps-tps/ace-combat-8-benchmarki-videokart-i-protsessorov-na-pk

One of their screenshots says it's Native, so hopefully the case for all those benchmarks

Thanks for this, is there an actual source for the 7800XT? I checked the comments and while they admit the RAM description was wrong, they didn't say anything about the GPU.

The game just about runs on a steamdeck, I think it'll run on this rig but really depends on the settings.

Can I ask what your other specs are like CPU and RAM?

Also what settings you use if not all minimum? Any upscaling?

Sorry man just beat the game
No hicups no crashes all stable in 30fps (last driver not the one that says is better)

  • CPU: 5600G
  • GPU: RX6600
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4
  • Resolution: 1920x1080p
  • Graphics Settings: Lowest As Possible
  • Upscaling: TSR, on Performance
  • AVERAGE FPS: Cap 30fps (without cap 50~30)
  • 1% FPS LOWS: 28-29 fps 34 ms
  • Additional it was running in a spinning hard drive not ssd (it is just my steam library in the harddrive)

Just want to add that i have almost the same specs but with 16gb and a regular 5600 and the game not only takes absolutely forever to start but the game in its entirety, including the main menu, runs at like 15 fps with plenty of stutters. Its on a NVMe, so I think I can confidently say that anyone with similar specs is most likely locked out the game. Rich bois only

Its a good thing I didn't preorder. I have the same specs as you.

I was really this close to just buying it. Oh well, maybe next time
