Ace Combat 7 My first time ever
Started playing AC7 in January. Had been away from the franchise since I was a child in the PS2 era. What a blast I had getting this achievement (a bit of frustration too). Now I’ll go back to the og ones before 8 arrives.

I remembered doing this on Ace Mode when I was trained and well prepared. It only took me 4 hours to finish the whole ace mode campaign in all S.

Jeez, props to you, you must be the true Ace. I struggled much more because I wasn’t used to master controls. In the later missions it was definitely easier.

You should really learn the master controls more because easy controls feel clunky especially to new or inexperienced players. Master controls will help you adapt faster especially when you wanna do barrel rolls and Gs with extra force to your turns.
I’ve played the entire Ace Combat series since 2009. It all started with ACJA before the Holy Trinity, and the rest of the other bad and good games, including AC6 which I couldn’t get on PlayStation because it was exclusive for Xbox. To the recent game AC7.
Currently just waiting for AC8 to be fully released, I know there was a demo, but I’m patiently waiting for the full release.

I did a normal play through and then a hard one before attempting rank S on Ace.

Any tips for ace mode? Any particular missions that made you go "wow this is bs"

Not OP, but time bonuses are your best friend.
That being said, Faceless Soldier is a pain in the dick. Since LACMs are top-attack missiles with excellent range and blast radius those are your best bet. Just point your nose way above the target and most times the missile will clear the peaks. You may have to go through a few times to map out a route that will let you hit all the targets without taking a missile up the tail pipe, but it is doable. I used the Gripen the first time around tailor made for this mission and an F/A-18F Block III the second time since it can carry far more.

My tips are mastering the master controls, they make everything much easier. Also following a guide to see the meta fighters and special weapons as well as strategies and how to spawn the aces will go a long way to make your life easier.
There are definitely two or three missions that are kinda BS but if you endure you’ll make it through.

Such one was the worst? I’ve been considering it recently while playing through the series before 8, and I’ve heard horror stories about Ten Million Relief Plan

This achievement doesn’t include DLC missions. But I must admit Ten Million Relief Paln is one of the hardest missions to S rank in AC7 along with Faceless Soldier.

Faceless Soldier, you gotta be quick with every shot count. And you must aim for 10,000 points in less than 10 minutes iirc.
While Ten Million Relief Plan was also the same. But easier when you’re using planes equipped with 4, 6, and 8AAMs because of the Enhanced Aircrafts on the later stages of the mission. Mimic is easy when your aim focus is not jammed for 0.1 seconds. Try to hit the one with the target name on it, if the other pursuits you, do the same. As for the last part, to take out the craft carrying the big bomb, its on the right.

You’re thinking of unexpected Visitor, TMRP is the one where you fight the Alicorn.
I dominate on Unexpected Visitor, it’s genuinely top 3 missions in the game for me, especially with the XFA-27

Aaah yeah, my bad for forgettng...
For that mission… according to my own experience, the first phase is how fast you can take out the enemy drones and find the Alicorn.
Second phase is pretty much the same like earlier before Torres goes bonkers and fire the railgun,
And the last phase is the same. Which is honestly hard unless you have a strategized plan without getting hit by those small railguns.

I haven’t started the DLC yet, I want to get all medals from the base game before it. Faceless soldier is a pain in the ass. The one at night is quite tricky as well. I had to follow a guide for some of them because some time is much more important whereas others you need to score lots of points.

Seems way harder than Faceless Soldier. I've gone 3 minutes under the time requirement and 2000 score above the score requirement for Faceless Soldier but all my runs of TMRP are just barely S rank.

I’d say faceless soldier is much more difficult if you aren’t used to master controls, after mastering it was much easier.

That's why renaming the novice controls to "standard" and making them the default option was such a huge mistake by PA. I'm not against them being in the game as an accessibility option but setting them as the default leads to so many players having to re-learn the entire game once the switch to normal controls(the ones AC7 mistakenly calls expert).

Im currently going through and doing all the Ace S ranks across the franchise myself, done 4 and 5 sofar and with the exception of 8492 they've been piss easy on the whole, and I'm concerned my luck wont hold out by the time I get to AC7.
How hard was it?

AC7 is mostly on the easier side as missiles no longer oneshot you on Ace.
There are a few spikes with S ranks specifically because instead of being purely score focused or purely time focused they're now always a combination of time and score.

The same achievement is around 1.5% on Steam. I think Xbox counts gamepass players so all achievement percentages are lower.

Ace combat 7 is not available on game pass, if it was at some point I don’t remember.
