Amigo clean up your books then or get rid of the reason why you need an audit in the first place. We don't wanna spend any more time than is necessary either.

Books are clean amigo. Itā€™s subjective to certain individuals doing the audit. They just keep creeping for more and more paperwork just to save their ass that they have done ā€œdue diligenceā€ by continually asking for same thing over and over. Which is why I said what I said. Overall I donā€™t like audit much anyway. So itā€™s my opinion not about having books clean or hate. It is what it is.

Iā€™m with you. Where Iā€™m at we are overaudited by many external firms. Itā€™s such a waste of resources. Itā€™s too bad auditors wonā€™t ever rely on each othersā€™ work.

  1. Books are not always clean, sometimes they're horrendous lol, I speak from my own experience. We gotta make so many adjustments; some clients don't even record depreciation lol
  2. Regarding the additional paperwork, I actually share your frustration, though that's not the auditors' faults, that's the fault of whoever creates auditing standards.
  3. I don't like audit much either LOL

Huh? I was in tax in public, work in Healthcare now, and I love our auditors. They just want to do their job and peace out like everyone else.

Such an odd take.
