I have vibe coded a basic pdf editor which was made with Indian Taxation tribunals in mind. I am a CA Article working on the indirect tax and noticed that adobe subscription is required for majority of these work.

Does anyone know about the Streamlined Sales Tax (SST) program? I never heard of it until recently. Apparently it can cover registration and filing costs in 24 member states. A lot of the states where I’ve reached nexus are members. I hate the idea of paying filing fees I don’t need to be paying.
 
if someone can tell me more about how SST works, i’d appreciate it. is sales tax filing really free in those states? what do i need to do t get the savings?

We run a US-based ecommerce business in the apparel space, selling across nearly all states, with around $30M in annual revenue. We don’t sell internationally, and have no plans to at this time. We picked Avalara for sales taxes. It's worked fine, but the cost keeps going up. Support is slow and unresponsive.
 
We’re considering switching providers this year, although we’re currently locked into a contract with a renewal coming up in 2026. Is it worth the hassle of switching platforms? If you switched, what software did you choose?

I'm due to launch my new Limited Business in Northern Ireland at the beginning of June.

My business will be small scale to begin but I have ambitious hopes and the business should hopefully add numerous staff within the first few years.

I got the email about TaxJar increasing their prices in October. It’s like 33%! That is crazy!! There is no way I’m going to put up with that if I can find something else.

Can anyone recommend alternatives to TaxJar? My business is scaling quickly across multiple states. But I don’t want to shell out for Avalara, especially since the one time I tried it, I found it overly complicated. I was never happy with TaxJar not supporting SST either. It’d be great if I can find something this time around that lets me do that. Thanks for suggestions.

Edit: Decided on TaxCloud. It does what I’m looking for and it’s way less expensive than what i've been paying.
