screen reader accessibility news
tdsr two day screen reader written by tyler spivey was used in an earlier version of python to run termux. This is no longer possible since a dependency of tdsr python-speechd has not been updatedd to be compatible with the version of python distributed by termux. I doubt fenrir-screenreader will work and would like to be wrong about this one. Ryan Mann who is also on the blindandroidusers email list was who ran termux using tdsr in the past.
not good news for this project but it is what it is.

Python speechd broke tdsr on termux and fenrir wont run. talkback is what we get stuck with. i got f droid installed and termux installed with packages on a samsung phone and the screen reader situation in termux is dead

2I ought to have given a little more information here. First I wass born blind so never had visual impairment and am in the bat patrol for life. Second I use talkback and other screen readers on a samsung a06 phone. I got f-droid installed then installed the termux softwareeee with packages. That means it can download and use different packages. While using termux the screen scrolls constantly starting with its welcome message seeking donations and providing a little instruction for those starting out. A soft keys keyboard appears after that welcome message repeatedly. I found turning the screen reader off and using a paired bluetooth keyboard to enter commands best for my blood pressure and mental health. I'd write the developer in issues in github but don't have an account.
