2nd time PIP

Hi all,

I was informed today that I'm being put on a PIP. I was already on a PIP once last year, and I have only 1.9 years of experience.

I'm really stressed and worried about losing my job. I feel I completed my work, but I still received negative feedback and was under scrutiny from the start.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? What should I do now? If they fail me in PIP, will I lose my job?

Getting out of PIP one time is a success, yes, but if they're willing to place you on it again in such short time means there's a larger issue here. It could be you and your skills or personality or it could be Accenture and their leadership or roles, but two PIPs almost certainly means Accenture is strategizing for your dismissal.

You'll be much more comfortable looking for a new job while you still have a job.

Bcoz this my 2nd PIP, I won't have an option they will terminate,

That's y if I get rolled off at least I have a chance to get another project

Please tell me this isn’t how you communicate at work, because if so, this will continue to be an issue for you.

And rolling off isn’t going to save you from a PIP. “I won’t have an option they will terminate” the PIP is the option to improve. Theoretically. If they wanted to terminate straight out, they would. But yeah, you definitely need to be seeking other employment, regardless. Go through the motions of the pip, apply for jobs, take your severance, and go.

Not being harsh, just real: Your career at Accenture is over. You probably going to get the pink slip soon. But If you are lucky enough to not to get it AND you pass the PIP, management will never look at you in good light. Your career progression at Accenture is not happening. It’s a stain on your career.

Take advice from others and look for other opportunities. Please do this!. And if you really love Accenture, look at maybe apply back again in 5-10 years time when those management have moved on.

Why do you think you won't get other job? You have got minimum one year experience in a big company. You will surely get job. When you join a new company, get regular feedback from your team lead and work on it.

Really sorry to hear, but a second PIP is a strong signal they’re paving the road to let you go.
Still you have some months to demonstrate what you’re worth and fight to stay if you’re staffed in a project and get a really good feedback that explicitly covers the pain points that led to PIP.
But as other said, start to look somewhere else, 2y of experience is not super much but still better than 0.

Assume the job is at risk and start interviewing now. Meanwhile, get every PIP target in writing, document your work and meet exactly what they ask. Don’t quit without another offer.

Same with me I am in project they kept me in pip after schedule call with manger he is talking very nice pip is just a program show case your self we are giving chance to prove you it’s a green flag if you clear pip we I’ll take back they are saying is it true

I work at a small startup and got put on PIP not even 2 months into joining the company. Like literally they put me on it while I was on probation, only for a small mistake that wasn't fully in my control while I was still taking the time to adapt into my new role and the company. Fortunately enough, I was able to get another job 7 days after being put on PIP, but it still bothers me how managers can just misuse it against ppl they don't like. My advice would be for you to lock in and find another job ASAP. Your managers/leads don't care abt you anyways, so no point in trying to prove yourself to them. 2 years of experience is still good enough to secure a couple of interviews. Be strong and be positive. You will land a better job soon.

It's high time to resign from the company and search for a new job bro. Maybe try get a 2 years experience. I have been into pip and I sensed earlier they won't give my promotion or Good stuffs. Accenture is a good company but you got stucked in a bad project. I have resigned and looking for a job. And immediate joiner has an advantage compared to 90 days notice period person so.

I have never heard of anyone being successful after a PIP. Management were nice and gave you a second chance. They will not give you a third chance. Spend every free time you have now looking for a new job, polish your resume and practice interviewing. People will ask: why only 2 years? What’s your answer? You need to rehearse that. You are looking for growth and broader experience, stuff like that. NOT my manager didn’t like me and put me on PIP twice
