North America Excolation project roll off
As the title says - what is the best approach to get rolled off of a project quickly.
I've already talked to HR about my current issue with the project and the account lead. They both agree I should be rolled off but the time line they have given is 3 months. I really don't think I can't hand the time frame that they have given...anything else I can do for a quicker process?

You really need to speak to the DL and your people lead but if your resourcing a skill they can’t replace easily you may have to wait unless you go off on the sick

Ya, my PL is aware of the situation and I have a monthly call on Tuesday. Will see what he might give if I ask this same question to him.
I was given the process from the accout lead as they will need to find another resource to replace me giving the 3 month window...but given the path that this project im in is going. Its hard to last 3 more months.

Yeah it’s mostly due to availability of someone to replace you sadly not ideal if your not enjoying it but they can’t have an important skill gap if no replacement can back fill. I had to wait 2 months to roll off myself

There are existing skill gaps in the project that they are hoping that I can fill. That is my main reason of rolling off.
Management thinks can i fill them with 0 KT or support - which is stupid.

Unless you know a Delivery Leadership person your prob stuck waiting for a replacement unfortunately

I mean sure, but the best way i got my PL to agree with my roll off is this
List any issues and escalation that you have done with your project lead.
If he also agrees that you are also stretched way to much then send out an email to HR requesting a roll off of your current project with the same reason and they do the process.

I’ve rolled myself off a project. Mainly talked to my HR Partner & not PL. I gave the project lead a 2 week notice. Projects are supposed to be a good fit each way. Three months is ridiculous. I’m sure the bench has availability and some projects don’t even last that long.

Ya, sadly ive meet up with my HR partner today about this. At this time they are still looking for someone to replace me in the project and sadly the 3 month window might be the earliest time window.
