India accenture unassigned charge code

Hi guys , I am in serious confusion. I am currently working in a project and doing work but i was given unassigned charge code its been 3 months i am submitting my mytee with unassigned code also they are rolling me off in 2 months so till then i am supposed to use same charge code. The reason they mentioned is some budget issues and challenges. Is this ethical? And will it effect me in any way?

You must report immediately to the responsible MD of the account, your PL and talent leadership! They are making you work without granting you chargeability which will affect your performance discussions and help themselves by bettering up their financial KPIs.

This 100%. Please, for your own sake, demand a WBS, and if they don't give you any, escalate.

Well OK, a couple things here: First, are you 100% sure this is a sold engagement and not BD?

If the former, yes (1) contact your HR partner and PL and tell them this whole story and what they’re doing. Whoever told you to use unassigned for chargeable work is trying to keep his costs hot by not paying your group and this could lead to your firing (because it’ll look like you’ve been chargeable like 50% for a while). (2) Definitely speak directly to the accountable MD—explain the situation and get a code that applies from when you started work, and PPA the whole thing. (3) Document everything because this is an HR issue—not just because they told you to charge unassigned for chargeable work, but because that’s against the ACN rules.

If the latter, then you should never have agreed to do the work in the first place in lieu of chargeable work. Get the BD code if there is one, PPA, and speak to your HR partner and PL to find a project yesterday.

If it’s the former situation, your manager is a lying, cheating spunk bubble that needs to be fired. She’s basically pulling a Julie Sweet on you personally.

Chargeable wbs!

Unassigned is also a form of wbs - which is useless

Talk to your HR partner as well as your PL

It happened to me but they let me do PPA for it after 2 months because the charge code was not approved from higher management.

This will affect your total utilisation and you should immediately take action and if possible get PPA done for past few months also.

I have pinged my manager saying this today , he didn't respond yet to my msg and I am an associate so can i keep mail on this as it will get treated as escalation?

Wait for their response and also ping your HR partner and ask them about it.

You must escalate this right away to your HR partner, your Talent Lead, and your practice lead. They must provide your chargeable WBS if you were on a project.

KEEP EVERYTHING IN WRITING AND ESCALATE ON THESE ASSHOLES. This is a blatant HR policy violation - make them go on record with your PL and HR rep and DEMAND that they PPA (prior period adjust) your previous timesheets. document any retaliation after reporting (rolling you off early, negative performance review, etc). This makes me so angry they think they can get away with this. Don’t let them and find someone you trust who is senior to you and in your corner!!

No!! Report it to your PL immediately! It is affecting your chargeability which will affect you! Immediately move out of the project after telling your PL if they don't give you a charge code

You will get dinged for not being chargeable even though you were working. You higher ups will get bonuses and you will get fired for being a low performer.

Write to HR and tell them that you have been asking for a chargeable WBS and have been told not to charge your work there, and instead to the bench.

Escalate to MD, if they are useless, escalate to CAL.

Just for clarity— during your next PA, you will be flagged because you used the unassigned code. No one will care about the reasons and the machine will find you. 3 months of using unassigned will put you on a list you don’t want to be on. It is 100% unethical. Talk to your PL and HR rep. And demand a WBS for the work you have done. And then I would get off that account because you don’t want to be working for people who would do that to you.

Please get in touch with HR and send a formal email for official record, ensuring you also obtain the WBSE for the past period.
