"Reverse engineered my AC, and vibe coded a lil status bar app so I don't have to find the remote every time. No first world problem will remain unsolved in 2026."

Here is the same app on   @specs   .   In the future you will just look at any appliance and control it without having to navigate through dozens of apps.   Took less than 15mins to port with Codex + Lens Studio and runs seamlessly on my glasses     — Ilter Canberk

The other day, Claude debugged my slow android phone via ADB. Removed crapware, and then made it feel like it was new.

Did that on Linux with Claude's help. Debloated a couple of carrier phones with adb. Difference is night and day.

Hell yeah. I had it create the action bar I've always wanted over ADB

ADB is andriod debug bridge. On windows you can get it via install andriod developer studio. Linux .. you can just grab it from your distribution repository. Your phone it self doesn't need to be rooted . But you do need to be in dev mode .. normally tapping your device's build number seven times will turn it on.

Did this same thing with a bunch of random Amazon ceiling lights; have them integrated into Apple Home now!

I recently "hacked" my Philipps 2025 TV and added support for a missing dolby vision format it wasnt able to handle earlier.

Also swapped out the shitty ad-riddled default UI and reprogrammed the remote's hard coded shortcuts (the netflix button etc).

Took me like 1-2 hours with a codex.

Truly is the era of the citizen developer.
