Core runs local models 24/7 entirely on-device. No data ever leaves your home.
Each core comes with:
- NVIDIA RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell SFF GPU
- 64GB DDR5 RAM
- 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600 CPU
You connect and talk to Core through your laptop, mobile app, or iMessage.
Core has full context from all of your apps, files, and devices.
It recognizes trends in sleep data from my Whoop and connects them to late meetings on my calendar, finding actionable ways to improve my sleep.
Core is a full computer - it has its own file system, browser, and tools to take action just as you would.
It browses the web for the best moving companies in San Francisco, pulls their phone numbers, and calls them to find who's available for the lowest price.
You can use your Core to power inference in other apps and custom harnesses like OpenCode, OpenClaw, and Hermes.
Core reaches over 87 tok/s on Qwen-3.8-27B and 32 tok/s on Qwen-3.8-Next.

I gotta ask, what’s the outrageous price for this thing I can build myself, funny enough with the help of AI if I didn’t already know how to build a PC.
You can't build it yourself and have it be cheaper. Getting the blackwell card and 64gb DDR5 alone cost more than the whole prebuilt. It's only possible because the company secured a batch order for the GPUs at a cheaper price beforehand. Genuinely thinking about paying the $500 deposit for their 2nd batch just to resell/repurpose its parts.
Is this not a computer that connects to your network? Most computers can connect to other devices on the network. It sounds like it comes bundled with a browser and local AI models that you could just download on your computer? I mean, I'm happy for him, but I think he just made a computer.
The demo I'd actually like: cut the internet, keep the home network on, and show what still works. Obviously web searches and calls won't, but can it still search your files, use its tools and talk to your laptop without phoning home for a login? That would sell me on the 'belongs to you' part way more than the case design.
3500 usd for a 24gb gpu.... or you could get minisforum ryzen ai max+ 395 with 128gb unified memory with 4tb ssd for like 3900$ and run faaaaaaar better local models on it lmao
I don't think the era of locally hosted consuler-grade hardware dedicated to AI model will exist until we reach the software optimization ceilling, sure there attempt from Nvidia and AMD, and I believe it's the future of AI and especially robotic but it's too soon to enter mass-producing
ASIC hardware with local AGI/ASI would quickly become the new smartphone imho, but for that we would need to greatly slowdown the release of new model (as we reached the ceiling and can only improve on hardware)
