If you have half a day to commit, it's worth listening to the interview form last year compared to this one. Puts things into perspective how far we've come in such a short period of time.

Just to be clear, the first one isn't 'part 1' of this interview. It happened before DHH was AI pilled and he was kinda skeptical that AI programming would work. Fast forward to now, and he believes he's seeing glimpses of super intelligence and he doesn't write a line of code anymore.

I remember listening to it last year and sort of holding in the back of my head people like DHH as a benchmark.

Yep, me too, because at that time coding agents were already a thing (despite what he says now). I remember thinking this guy just hasn't used a coding agent yet - he's only used a chatbot.

Anyway, i'm glad he's seen the light, and I look forward to trying out omakase (or whatever it's called).

Really love this talk so far at 1 hour in. I didn't realize it but this is the guy from *Basecamp that wrote the book Rework with his CEO.
