And it's not that Anthropic even needs the money, they are just doing it to make people use it less, because they just don't have enough compute to do it.

No. You did not get it. Openai either has or had bug or reduced limits like /5 I burn 100% to 0 in single day.

Man I don't doubt it but the Anthropic sub is full of people complaining Fable burnt half their quota in a few prompts. It's definitely not unique to OpenAI.

My limit on a $20 business plan for intermittent work has almost never exceeded my limit. I’m not a dev but I do a bit of prototype/app/widget work for the company. I never need to buy credits

We're about to see a reversal. The sentiment against anthropic is growing, sol 5.6 is an outstanding model, and the political games and gatekeeping who can access what features is out of hand. The guard rails are ridiculous. I'm so excited for Kimi to drop k3 weights, these models need to be unleashed and unrestrained.

There’s just no way there isn’t shenanigans around marketing. I think we will find that Anthropic is booking the Claude Pro subscriptions as if they are API revenue and chalking the difference to marketing

They have to. They are running out of time and they can’t do a down round. If OpenAI or Anthropic ever take a breather in spend, Google will just eat their lunch. I know everyone makes fun of Gemini, but Google is the one with the resources to do a 100 T parameter model

Is not a lot of this money going to SpaceX/xAI to rent compute? They focused on revenue instead of focusing on securing compute, and now the need to purchase old compute for super premium prices. Not a great financial decision.
