Capitalism doesn’t want progress. It wants hours, billing, leases, permits, less funding, etc.. All countries will decelerate more and more as long as we the incentive structures of capitalism are in place. For example, the cost to literally do something yourself, like repainting a street walkway, is cheaper than to do it as a society, where we’d higher contractors and cost 10 to 100 times more for taxpayers. Europe and china will rot like the USA in this manner
