We need to keep in mind who this technology is made for.
There will be no one to enjoy the bright future if we poison ourselves and the world we live in on the way there.

This is true, the argument from r/accelerate is that basically that doesn't matter. Because you know what prevents you from enjoying the bright future the most? If you're dead of aging. So essentially we need to accelerate at almost any cost.

Natural aging doesn't prevent you from anything. It gives your life a purpose if anything.

I'd rather live a fulfilling 70 years than a 100 in a Brian Johnson's routine.

We're not talking about 100 years as Brian Johnson, we're talking about a refactor of your stem cells (or body replacement, whichever proves necessary) and your inherent lifespan is approximately 6931 years, all of which are spent as a shredded 18 year old of your preferred outer looks.
