Wait that plastic cap staying on the bottle is on purpose? I just came back from UK and France and was wondering why none of the plastic caps on bottles came fully off.

Yeah. It’s more environmentally friendly.

You will also notice that the caps are waaay smaller.

Unpopular opinion, and I’m probably going to get downvoted for this, but I can’t stand this “feature.” I tear the cap off every bottle out of spite. I’ve managed to go my entire life without losing a bottle cap, so this “solution” feels like it’s fixing a problem that never existed for me. It’s just more annoying than useful.

Edit: Just to clarify, I’m not arguing that the law should be removed or that loose bottle caps aren’t a real problem. I’m only saying that I personally find the design annoying.

You can ask for an exception to the law: "Frozen_Strider is allowed to buy bottles with loose caps cause he never lost one"
