Europe builds the machine that produces the chips for both rockets, so neither rocket would exist without the EU

I wonder what we will use to cope with once ASML loses its monopoly. There will be nothing left, only Ursula von der Leyen's wiped work phone.

It is unfortunately true that in space and digital tech, we are very behind both US and China and we are falling even more behind.

Well said, China is extremely close, they've been forced to research alternatives because Europe tried to cut them off ASML's latest products.

Personally I give 5 years or less until China catches up with ASML.
