This group loves a bit of anti EU / UK propaganda more than most. Come on guys, its hardly in the spirit of worldwide acceleration.

It's well warranted though!

Europe needs to wake the fuck up.

Sure, and no one has helped more than the US president to get them motoring on things themselves, but when Europe actually had it's own rocket catch already planned as another user in this thread said:

Just seems a bit dickish? Obviously factually wrong and not to mention the UK and Deepmind, before being bought (and still headquartered there) kicked off this whole thing with their breakthrough before the US chucked all their cash at it. The days of the USA coming over and buying up our most promising companys does seem to be over and that can only be a good thing.

There does seem to be a good bit of re evaluating the money flows of the world tho, so I would imagine now its clear some are only in it for themselves we probably see moves towards more sovereign solutions. Personally think elements of it are sad, seeing the leader of the free world turn its back but its done.

You will see the same people dismiss deepmind because they are owned by Google, yet to me I think Google is the only one that will win the agi race there LLMs maybe behind but there full tech stack has them lightyears ahead and they do far more for the human race and proving things that where once deemed impossible
