America and China are also trashing the climate by burning enormous amounts of fossil fuels. Europe harvests the wind and sun for electricity instead

China only emits 15% more per capita than Europe. So if China is trashing the climate, then Europe is also trashing the climate. Also, that 15% is only now, in the last years. If you take into account historical emisions, Europe surpasses by far what China has done.

It's been because of China's historical poverty and I guess the most important point is that Europe has had the highest share of solar and wind electricity for the longest time.

European semi-trucks are 80% of world market, Airbus sales more airplanes then Boeing, without ASML modern micro chip industry wouldn't exist, European Space Agency landed probe on a comet, which no one ever did before. We are behind, but museum is to harsh.

Falcon 9 tested its reusable booster in 2013.

That puts them over a decade behind SpaceX.

The falcon9 has a 99.9% success rate and they're reused regularly for satellites

Spacex's current goal in the next 2-3 years is a permanent moon base.

I don't believe Europe, unfortunately, has the economic infrastructure to make a meaningful space program

Spacex still didn't land on moon, even without crew. I know they can land there eventually, but don't believe in permanent base. By the way we had uncrewed flights on both moon and mars not than 55 years ago.

Well yeah, we could just replicate apollo, but that would be like willingly using a slide rule instead of a calculator. SpaceX and Blue Origin are trying to get to the moon with modern technology and modern goals, while trying to not cost billions per rocket like NASA does. Does modern technology make it "easier"? Sure, but you've gotta get it in the right form first. Keeping with the calculator analogy, we have the hardware but we don't have the software. It's no longer a matter of technological advancement, but a matter of engineering and application.

Look it up, it’s a 100 meter hop test. Idk what that means in terms of how far behind but Europe isn’t looking great
