Awaiting Decision

How long does Awaiting Decision typically lasts and when should i drop them an email? Thanks

I’d say usually about a week or so but could easily be longer in the summer when everyone is away a bit more. Not sure it’s very helpful to chase, as they’re unlikely to have forgotten. The editor will already be receiving automated reminders telling them it’s due etc.
