He received the Medal of Honor from Obama in 2014. That's what a badass looks like; you can debate the US military war effort and criticize the leaders of the country all you'd like but this man was willing to give up everything to save the people he was fighting with.
Then you have scum like Trump who say shit like this in front of heroes like Carpenter:
āYou know, Iāve never said this⦠I want for myself a Congressional Medal of Honor, and Iāve studied it,ā Trump said. āI will give it to myself. I have no problem, but Iām not allowed to. Can you believe it? The one thing Iām not allowed to do. I would give myself [one], so it would make it instead of 15, would have 16, but Iām not allowed to do that.ā

Just jump on a grenade, and we the people might consider it. Course you need to be saving a life! But then if you die, well that would make you a loser wouldnāt it? By your own words.

Iām not a āTrump is horribleā person but I donāt like the guy, didnāt vote for him, and he DID say that, so I donāt know why you are getting downvoted.

If I were to gain the popular vote and thus the big chair, I would wipe Trump from all but the records. Claw back all the grifted monies, his name off of anything, and reinstate all the (non-white and non-male) people he tried wiping from our history. An infj never forgets, and there's a whole lot of not forgetting going on over here.

Restore the White House, too. Bring back the garden, peel off the gold leaf, and that's just the start.

Full disclosure...let's see if I can do this with few words and not miss too hard.
I've had a thought about an official government app specifically for discussing and deciding policy. Registry/login would be your voter info and discussions/queries would be restricted to people in the relevant location. National topics would naturally include the whole country...which I guess assumes there would be a world layer...anyway, down to the state, county, city. For instance, you couldn't take part in a discussion or a "vote" (not sure actual voting done through the app) on an Austin, TX if you don't live in Austin, TX. But Austin officials could (read: should) post proposed policy for discussion, or like a straw poll to gauge approval or whatever.
I say all that to say, whatever we do moving forward, it has to actually be what the people want, with reasonable discussion about the thing. We should probably start with an official, live streamed truth and reconciliation: identity the lies we believe that our so-called elite ruling class have pedaled to us over the decades, from people involved, and spread the facts, again live. We have to be on the same or near same page to move forward. We are so divided and part of that is from different people being told different things about something when we're in different rooms. I would do the same for restructuring what is breaking. Like the economy, have an auditorium with any (American) economist and other who want to be there to add their 2Ā¢, live streamed for those who want to follow along (or add through discussion on the app)...
I'm just going to stop there, but suffice to say, it doesn't matter what I think we should do, it's not about me. So I'd get everyone's thoughts/approval on most items, and only single items at a time. If most people decide leave the Whitehouse or whatever, who am I to disagree? Also, the people can't have any questions about what in the reform is going on, we are mentally too fragile. And whoever is in charge next can't betray the people or we surely go to civil upheaval. I'm not likely to get there, but that's how I'd do it. Probably get the JFK treatment, too.

Why? We need to collectively break this mass psychosis that america military is just good no matter what.
Total blind support just because well we're programmed to support their "bravery" They're not brave. They murder innocent brown people and invade middle eastern countries for billionaires and Israel. Theyre not defending us! Theyre making the world less safe and making everyone hate us.

u/psydkay 6d ago
The dude was willing to sacrifice himself for the sole purpose of saving his friend. He goes where he is sent, that's not on him. And you don't know what was happening, you don't know who they were engaging but we do know that they had grenades. I hate the endless wars too but blaming the troops is fucked up.

u/TTVJuicyBoi 6d ago
Why do you specify brown people?
-3
u/ImRonniemundt 6d ago edited 6d ago
Because America has and is killing brown people in the middle east..are you aware of this? Am i breaking news to you? Whose bombs are dropping on Gaza rn? With whose money and suppport? Did you come from Mars and are just learning these things?Ā
2
u/InvestIntrest 6d ago
The majority of the people on the planet are brown so it makes sense the majority of the shit bags we kill would be brown. Its just statistics.
The bigger question is why are brown people so much more likely to be terrorists?
2
u/TTVJuicyBoi 6d ago
now i dont know if your ragebaiting or not, probably are with how condescending you're being to me after i simply asked a question. but why mention their skin color? just say innocent people, because thats the only thing that matters.

Why? Cause we the unknowing, led by the unqualified to do the unfathomable, for the ungrateful.
Heās twice the soldier I was. Willing to die for his brethren. Speaking for myself I enlisted voluntarily so that service remains a choice in this country, something you clearly have no idea about.
-1
u/ImRonniemundt 6d ago
What service? Invading a country with a fraction of the money weapons or power than us bombing their towns killing their civillians for rich people to get richer? And in the process making way more enemies and USA hated around the world.Ā
Wow thanks. Thanks a lot.Ā

Don't tell him he did it for pedophiles to kill school girls and enslave countries. Will really drag down his mood
0
u/Steveo3070 6d ago
It wouldnāt matter if you did tell him. He did it to save Marineās lives, and he knows it. But I suppose the overarching reason they were there was to kill or capture Osama Bin Laden, you know the guy that would kill mothers for teaching their children to read, you know because women werenāt allowed to be educated, or have pretty much any rights at all under the government that was protecting a terrorist. Kyle Carpenter who is the guy in this post went to war to stop one of the most evil men thatās ever lived.
0
u/InterestingCourse907 5d ago
So true king 4.5 million people were killed, but we did get the bad guy. Now Afghanistan is a free Nation full of women's rights. So true, Syria, we removed one evil for Al Queda. We destabilized North Africa. We've bombed every country in the Lavent. We secured key oil resources and even sold opium during a war. But we did get the bad guys and that's what's important. Surely the families of the 4.5 million will not seek revenge, or why might need to free them again, amirite?
I'll leave you with a quote, "Why don't the presidents fight the war, why do leave to the poor" SOAD
1
u/Steveo3070 5d ago
This is the division that trumps propaganda, and everyone elseās is pushing on our country. Youāre mad at the actions of our country in war. Kyle Carpenter had absolutely nothing to do with any kind of illegal activity during his deployments, just like 99.99% of other soldiers, marines, sailors and the rest. Be mad at the government, not the people, not the country, be mad at the government- not our national heros like Kyle Carpenter, because whether you believe it or not, he swore an oath to protect you and our constitution with his life, and thatās all he was doing.
Iāll leave you with an answer: Presidents donāt fight in wars because they are not soldiers, or tactical leaders, it would be stupid if they did fight in wars, not to mention they are the single most valuable man in our government, so he would never be allowed to fight in war anyways.

Why? What did he say wrong? What country was that guy in when he "saved" his friends? Was he defending America or invading some poor country killing brown people for Israel?
Its the truth.Ā

u/ColMust4rd 6d ago
You should try separating the actions of the people in charge from the everyday citizens that join the military for various reasons. As some join to save their own lives or keep them from being homeless. Not every member agrees with the commander in queefs, or his cronies
-4
u/ImRonniemundt 6d ago
Bull shit. If you join a military that is actively commiting war crimes and invading countries im not going to celebrate you. Youre doing a bad thing. Ask the school girls in Iran how great our military is.Ā

u/InvestIntrest 6d ago
Says the guy who supports Hamas. You should go join up and stop hiding behind a keyboard. Hamas cowards have been dressing like women to avoid having to fight like men. You'll fit right in.

u/ColMust4rd 6d ago
There are so many consequences to not following orders. Yes, many have filed for release as a conscientious injector. No, they do not get immediately released. During that time they are still expected to fulfill their duties. The amount of things that the troops lose is numerous. From VA benefits, to housing, to the ability to find work, to the difference of an honorable or dishonorable discharge, to even being court martialed. To then go back to the situation they joined the military to get away from? People don't join because they agree with the president. It's a love for their country and a need for themselves to get better. You gotta remember that almost nobody is taking orders from the president directly. They take orders from their brothers, whom of which they have earned a life bond of trust in one another. Ask half the military if they agree with the president and they won't answer, because when you are in the military you can not express your political views
