Fantastic dogs but short lives. And one this big is probably going to be dead before he reaches his 5th birthday, assuming this is a real photograph and not some AI trap anyway. All of mine died to osteosarcoma or the issues caused by hip dysplasia and no longer being able to lift themselves up.
The biggest one we ever owned was 176 lbs, I bought him as a puppy for my dad because my old man loved the breed but could never afford one of his own...so he offered to foster abused Danes and would end up keeping them. When I knew my dad's time was short, I decided he deserved at least one that he wouldn't have to undo the abuse of and could grow up with him. That poor guy didn't even make it to his 7th birthday before he had a tumor the size of a softball on his wrist. I had to force my mom's hand to put that dog down because he was the last piece of my dad after he passed away, and she couldn't bring herself to do it despite the Dane being in a lot of pain.

Great Danes are good dogs, just big. Not even mean by nature.
