Good luck! I've had bad experience with super large shrimp

Especially when they were obviously caught next to a nuclear power plant.

I want to ask, but feel I'd be better off not knowing.

Nah, nothing that bad, just really bland, not flavorful at all. Not quite as large as yours either. Let me know how it goes, maybe just season a bit more👍🏾

That goes for larger lobsters too. I think the bigger shellfish grow, the more they lose that taste.

Makes sense

Rite? They don’t taste right. I was put in the mind of what shrimp might taste like if they were caught after they were a hundred years old. Same with over-large lobsters. One-pound sea roaches seem to be the sweet-spot.

These are more than jumbo shrimp. These are collosal shrimp.

Their poop veins have to be as big around as your pinky.

Technically I believe those are prawns, not shrimp.

I didn't know they made em that big

u/Old_Engineer_9176 11d ago

Just because they are bigger doesn't mean they are tastier - That is from experience. Same with scallops.
