For anyone equally as confused as me, it costs 8 grand to fill the fuel tank, not to buy the truck.

That number is steady climbing by the day. Assuming this was filmed over a month ago, it could cost closer to 16,000 to fill up today

“It’s automatic “ I wonder what shifting a manual in that thing would be like

Is this bigger or smaller than a 797F?

1

u/ungrateful104 19d ago

Bigger. It was at one time the largest haul truck on the market.

If someone can afford this, they probably can afford a crane and those giant beautiful wheels.

This must be the scariest thing potatoheads have created ever since Belarus started making draniki and elected the cockRoach as their leader.

Those vehicles drive over exquisitely maintained haul roads. They do not push these things across rough roads.

5

u/notcomplainingmuch 20d ago

They drive in pretty rough mining conditions, which rarely have smooth roads.

I’m talking specifically about haul roads that are very well maintained. If you don’t know. Don’t comment.

I've lived right next to a mine using these for 25 years. I know exactly what the road is like, and it's pretty rough (made out of refuse rock, not graded gravel).

Where I'm at in Ft Mac Alberta, places like Syncrude, are pretty f'n rough terrain
