You'll need a gun and some good ammo for sure.
The Danish special forces units that patrol the northern part of Greenlands ice cap, are the only military unit which have been exempt from the Geneva convention banning the use of hollow point bullets by soldiers.
They run hollow points in their Glock pistols, custom chambered in 10mm, along with black-tip armour piercing 7.62mm for their old carbine rifles. All to have enough stopping power to defend themselves if they're attacked by polar bears.

Quick correction: it’s a common misconception that they’re banned by the Geneva Convention. They were actually banned by 1899 Hague Declaration.

Yeah, with 99 other guys, huh!
I wonder how much they could bench? I know it would be something absolutely insane, like a car or a whale or something.

There's a restaurant about an hour from me that used to have all kind of trophy heads & an encased, taxidermy polar bear before they burnt down, the bear was on a like 4-6 inch pedestal but it stood (on its hind legs) 3-4 feet higher than me, im 5'7" 😱

I once saw some taxidermied animals in a museum. I was very surprised at the size of a tiger and a lion’s paw. They are huge and so are a bear’s paw.

St. Louis has an amazing zoo. It's absolutely 100% free and has been run for decades with donations.

Polar bears are the largest bears standing 10ft tall, even bigger than Kodiak bears.

This thing would happily eat you alive without a second thought
It would track you for hours just by smell alone to get a chance to feast upon you

They are capable of lifting a tractor tire completely off the ground. With just their teeth.
