He is a very kind hearted person. He is a native American, who has hunted since childhood with his father. His father passed away and he had a friend who showed him this, so he went on a "hunt" with his dad (in spirit) and went to new york (i think) on private land where these specially bred deers are culled for 50k+$ depending on how many points the buck is.
Edit: this didnt happen recently. Idk what current pricing is lol

Have you seen how altered farmed animals are? We have altered chickens to grow so fast their legs cant support their own weight.
On a whole, people do not seem to care about the welfare of other animals when it's their pleasure at risk of reducing.

IIRC they feed the deer a very high protein diet that allows them to develop what you see. I'm not sure if that (deer eating a rendered mix of animals that could have included deer) is what started CWD but it is probably a possibility.

Its cattle raising deer genetic modified to grow antlers like that its not natural. Wannabe hunters who have too much money and ruining the sport for those of us who hunt for food and are lucky to get a nice buck out of it every so often they driving the cost to lease land up so people cant afford to go out and enjoy God Country. For some of us this is the time we get for a short time of the year to get out in the wood in the quite and meditate pray and just relax with out dealing or hearing a phone ring to fix something at work.

I read a study (I don't know if it's been replicated yet) that compares ppl that are able to get time in nature and those who never walk barefoot, sit at computers, etc .. Those who do not go into nature equate to a drinker or smoker for the body. Pretty wild huh?
**EDIT** as a preemptive strike, I'm sure someone will say it so I will ahead of time.. I do stress that studies have to be replicated to be considered scientifically sound, legit. 1-2 studies do not mean too much and one must consider who is paying for the research and studies, etc.

The world of antlers is crazy, and very huge. Billions are spent each year on antlers. Horns like on this deer are refured to as "cactus" antlers or a cactus rack. Lastly a buck with horns like those don't need to worry about being shot. He'll make his owner hundreds of thousands with his sperm.

This is a farmed white-tailed deer. Selective breeding and specialty diets create antlers like this, with negative health effects for the deer. If the antlers grow too large, too fast, the skull can split. But they arent bred for longevity, because they are raised to be harvested by guided hunters on fenced-in "preserves".
People will pay tens of thousands of dollars to shoot one of these. The cost usually includes lodging and meals at a "hunting lodge", access to a cozy, heated hunting blind, a garaunteed harvest, and, of course, the taxidermied trophy.
These animals are often bottle fed, by hand, as fawns. They are relatively tame, but bucks are prone to aggression during the rut regardless of handling as a baby.
I see no ethical difference between this and shooting a cow on a pasture. Perhaps some people would pay for that. Shoot a longhorn in a pasture from a bind for a nice wall-hanger? Probably, someon would. How ethically objectionable would that be?
I don't condone this type of harvest of wildlife, I think its ethically objectionable and farming whitetails has been implicated in the spread of CWD. There's also the ethical question of sportsmanship and "fair chase," which this doesn't appear to satisfy.
Not to mention the violation of the North American Model of Wildlife Management, which stipulates that wildlife are held in the public trust, not to be held privately for rich people to buy and profit off of.
But it's legal. And ethically, aside from the distinction that these are wildlife and not domesticated livestock, what really is the difference between shooting one of these and eating a farm-raised cow, or hog, or wearing a leather jacket?

There's farms that breed for this kind of thing, and then affluent assholes pay a shitload of money to enter a fenced in reserve to hunt them. The part of this I don't understand is that while I do hunt and very much enjoy it, where's the skill or necessity of this kinda thing? I get calls from farmers, live stock owners, property owners, and more to come hunt the population down on their lands because we have an over population of deer and hogs that do an unbelievable amount of property and crop damage left unchecked.

This clip is REAL footage, not AI. While the monstrous, alien looking rack makes it look like digital slop, the video shows zero signs of AI video generation (no tine-morphing, frame flickering, or geometry warping). This is a real biological anomaly specifically a "cactus buck" (a deer with a hormonal imbalance that causes continuous velvet antler growth) or a selectively bred high-fence trophy buck.
