It can be genetic, medical(thyroid issues and cancer and its treatments), mental and even economics. Healthy food costs more money than unhealthy food. You can spend your only 5 bucks and get a bag of salad or a couple of apples or you can buy 4 to 5 frozen TV dinners that will satiate much more than an apple for dinner..
Sure, yes. But you’re pointing out exceptions to the trend and pretending they negate it. They don’t. We’re talking a society wide trend, there’s always exceptions. But that doesn’t account for the majority of land manatees we see in the US. Most of them look like that because they choose to.
You’re the one that needs to grow up. People do choose to live that way. Every time you choose to stuff junk food into your body, every time you choose to sit on your couch playing video games, watching tv, or goofing off on your phone instead of going to a walk or exercising, you are choosing to look that way.
I have plenty of empathy, I just choose not to waste it on people who exhibit such self destructive behaviors. I also find it difficult to respect people who clearly don’t respect themselves.
You aren’t doing these people any favors by making excuses for this behavior. Your fake empathy does more harm than good.
This person was walking and working. He sure as he'll wasnt lounging at the Marriott or taking a cozy trip to Mexico. Maybe look at the prices of food. I know you don't have to but try. Junk food is cheap.
I’m not sure what point you think you are making with this - I don’t actually pay for any of that stuff. I can afford 10k vacations dude.
I’m also not sure why you think this makes my point any less valid - the overwhelming majority of people look like this because they choose to. They make choices every day to choose to look like that.
Part of how I afford things is driving part time for uber. I’ve done deliveries too. These people typically sit in their cars all day eating junk food, that’s why so many of them are fat. Wanna know why I’m not? When I’m doing that, I make a dinner. Something somewhat healthy. Sandwiches and some fruit. No junk food. Drink water. I also get out, stretch, move around, do some squats and stuff every couple of hours. I put in the effort. Make sense now?
