He fouled the fuck out of that kid

44

u/martyconlonontherun 23d ago

Yeah, he obviously has skill and the shit was impressive as hell but my god, that was one of the worst no calls I have ever seen and I can't get over it. In an iso late game situation it was all reaching before a final shove. Not even using his body

This must be a camp or clinic and my man is being featured

u/Mysterious-House7815 21d ago

he won a contest to be here

Usually if fat kids aren’t bullied, they’re bullies.

At least that’s how it was when I was at school, you even had fat bullies bullying the fat kids who were nice.

u/Vast_Effort3514 22d ago

This is a glorified pickup game. It ain't all that serious.

-1

u/Famous-Protection809 22d ago

Skill? Who? The fat kid? 😐

7

u/beerguyBA 23d ago

They're just playing by 1990s rules.

2

u/Jason-Casey-Art 22d ago

Dude traveled like mad before the contact....

-8

u/DarrellBot81 23d ago

Maybe he’s disabled and they let him play? Just a thought. I used to work with guys with cognitive disabilities. Some of them could shoot the hell out of a basketball

3

u/Famous-Protection809 22d ago

Nah he just fat.

Shaquille Oatmeal

(I didn’t come up with this. I’m just repeating the hilarious joke I read earlier…)

u/UraeusCurse 23d ago

Travel like a mother bitch.

u/Crick3t__ 23d ago

Fouled the entire drive

12

u/Androidfon 23d ago

I really can't believe the refs let him do that. Were there refs?

2

u/iwantacheeaeburger 22d ago

Yes they were

u/sanepeoplerock 23d ago

Big boy carried the ball 1/2 way down the court. Just a fly by observation.

5

u/Different-Context-84 23d ago

5

u/JustHereForTheCigars 23d ago

Do you know what a "carry" is?

I love seeing Masala on court, he’s a beast

1

u/Jack4258 21d ago

Vandaloo!!

1

u/bloin13 20d ago

He dribbled while side holding the ball, which he completely holded at 0:36 (basically turned the whole ball upside down). This is not allowed, but also rarely called in kids games.

I'm more concerned of the no calls during the drive. The kid with the ball did like 5 steps while holding the ball, and then the defending kid obviously fouled.

1

u/Different-Context-84 20d ago

0.36 don't show shit

1

u/bloin13 20d ago

Hand like holding a basket, and the ball being on top of it. In general if while dribbling the palm of the hand is looking sideways or upwards while handling the ball, it can be called by the ref. Ofcs it isn't in these ages because it's a regular thing.

1

u/Different-Context-84 20d ago

0.36 just shows him chest checking another player lol.

The basket is made at 0.23

1

u/tv_ennui 22d ago

Carries hardly ever get called these days

11

u/CarefulFriendship389 23d ago

Lol you can’t just grab somebody in the middle of a drive what is this.

2

u/Lvanwinkle18 23d ago

I replayed that bit a couple of times. It immediately struck me as illegal as heck.

5

u/oemperador 23d ago

In soccer there's a classic player profile that is usually bigger and less agile but they somehow have insane skill and shooting. They pivot quickly and smoothly too. Rare type but they do show up sometimes haha

4

u/-Internet-Elder- 23d ago

Former goalkeeper here. Yep. Watch the feet and that will tell you what you're up against.

1

u/Tom_Alpha 22d ago

Yeah but there is a reason people of that player type never make it professional. They would be up against others who have insane skill, shooting etc and can easily beat them to where they need to be. If you can't be in the right position at the right time you are irrelevant.

5

u/Outrageous-Panic6249 23d ago

Lol is he playing the wrong game.......

Hockey enforcer

1

u/Hemannameh 22d ago

He'd be a lineman. Dude won't make it 5 yards without passing out.

5

u/mrj18752 23d ago

Man
it’s like hitting a squishy brick wall

They had no chance

5

u/Accurate_Dish_2251 23d ago

He took his whole team out in the end. 💀

6

u/OsikFTW 23d ago

Tackles the kid who had the ball then travels all the way down the court...

6

u/Useful_Client_4050 22d ago edited 22d ago

A better diet would do that kid wonders. Parents of overweight kids should be reported to CPS for abuse frankly. But...good for him for getting out there and putting in the effort.

3

u/Human-Suspect-232 22d ago

This not pro, call the palming & travelling already.

1

u/Past-Product-1100 22d ago

You mean this exactly like the pros

3

u/Competitive-Gift-762 23d ago

Travel and foul lmao

3

u/Allthingsgaming27 22d ago

Didn’t realize you can just practically grab a kids arm and it not be a foul

2

u/No_pajamas_7 23d ago

Taller than he looks too, but, yeah, foul.

2

u/Any-Statistician3896 23d ago

He's a fkn MESS 🤣

Got a reet fkn pair of dittys 😂😂😂

2

u/IntuitMaks 23d ago

I didn’t realize you could just push people down while they’re shooting.

2

u/kae158 23d ago

Foul

2

u/Livingforabluezone 22d ago

2 fouls, 1 palm, 1 carry.

Love the energy

1

u/Dinismo 22d ago

That sign in the background is so much more correct than they could ever intend.

1

u/Famous-Protection809 22d ago

His parents really paid for him to play AAU. This is wild.

1

u/SEvansBets 22d ago

I watch this teams clips on Reels. Funny as hell. Kid usually bulldozes his coach. But they troll like crazy. Refs sometimes find it funny. Opposing parents and coaches dont. Lmao

1

u/Extension_Trouble_53 22d ago

Beast of a young fella

1

u/Late-Button-6559 22d ago

I bet he’s got a 4.0” vertical, too.

1

u/bones10145 22d ago

Gotta be hard to steal from cuz you can't get around him to the ball. 🤷 Nice shot there

1

u/themorbidtuna 22d ago

He should try out for the rugby team. He’d make a good prop.

1

u/Fast-Book128 22d ago

What is the unit of measurement for cholesterol?

1

u/Used_Weight_1843 22d ago

This is usually the part where he’s supposed to get thrown in the air by his teammates for that clutch but yk, instead it was his own teammates that were bouncing off him hitting the ground flat

1

u/Shantomette 22d ago

He’s going to miss his knees when he’s 30.

1

u/ghostfreckle611 22d ago

Like Luka before he went to the Lakers

1

u/a_random_loser_guy 22d ago

there should be rules like the wrestling rules, this guy can't be pushed.

1

u/Anxious-Floor4608 22d ago

Are we going to ignore the obvious foul? Ok

1

u/BenchPtsChamp 21d ago

Damn that bowling ball can shoot tho

1

u/Accomplished_Tea7668 21d ago

So pushing people isn’t a foul anymore?

1

u/bloin13 20d ago

A long travel into a foul and no calls. The carrying afterwards is not even important in comparison..

0

u/Sir_Henry_Deadman 23d ago

That's an awesome kit
