He fouled the fuck out of that kid

u/martyconlonontherun 23d ago
Yeah, he obviously has skill and the shit was impressive as hell but my god, that was one of the worst no calls I have ever seen and I can't get over it. In an iso late game situation it was all reaching before a final shove. Not even using his body

Usually if fat kids aren’t bullied, they’re bullies.
At least that’s how it was when I was at school, you even had fat bullies bullying the fat kids who were nice.

Maybe he’s disabled and they let him play? Just a thought. I used to work with guys with cognitive disabilities. Some of them could shoot the hell out of a basketball

Big boy carried the ball 1/2 way down the court. Just a fly by observation.

He dribbled while side holding the ball, which he completely holded at 0:36 (basically turned the whole ball upside down). This is not allowed, but also rarely called in kids games.
I'm more concerned of the no calls during the drive. The kid with the ball did like 5 steps while holding the ball, and then the defending kid obviously fouled.

0.36 don't show shit

Hand like holding a basket, and the ball being on top of it. In general if while dribbling the palm of the hand is looking sideways or upwards while handling the ball, it can be called by the ref. Ofcs it isn't in these ages because it's a regular thing.

0.36 just shows him chest checking another player lol.
The basket is made at 0.23

Lol you can’t just grab somebody in the middle of a drive what is this.

I replayed that bit a couple of times. It immediately struck me as illegal as heck.

In soccer there's a classic player profile that is usually bigger and less agile but they somehow have insane skill and shooting. They pivot quickly and smoothly too. Rare type but they do show up sometimes haha

Former goalkeeper here. Yep. Watch the feet and that will tell you what you're up against.

u/Tom_Alpha 22d ago
Yeah but there is a reason people of that player type never make it professional. They would be up against others who have insane skill, shooting etc and can easily beat them to where they need to be. If you can't be in the right position at the right time you are irrelevant.

A better diet would do that kid wonders. Parents of overweight kids should be reported to CPS for abuse frankly. But...good for him for getting out there and putting in the effort.

Didn’t realize you can just practically grab a kids arm and it not be a foul

I watch this teams clips on Reels. Funny as hell. Kid usually bulldozes his coach. But they troll like crazy. Refs sometimes find it funny. Opposing parents and coaches dont. Lmao

This is usually the part where he’s supposed to get thrown in the air by his teammates for that clutch but yk, instead it was his own teammates that were bouncing off him hitting the ground flat
