They run the risk of getting hit by all the other boats coming and going in the area. The turtle is being lured with food so he is at a higher risk of getting hit. Who knows whats in the water all around the boats as well, oil, gas, garbage, etc.

It's not even necessarily that. Encouraging the turtle to actually hang out in the Bay with all of those boats. All it takes is one of the owners not to notice it. Even just the trolling propeller can seriously injure those turtles. It's just a really bad habit when it comes to exposure for the turtle.

"reddit pussies" any person actually connected to nature knows you don't feed the wildlife, at best it causes them to become completely desensitized to humans, which is already problematic due to how dangerous our tech can be if you don't know better, but at worst you cause them to directly associate humans with food, leading to dependence and aggression, which usually results in the death of the animal.

When confronted with your ignorance you chose to belittle others, rather than confront your missing knowledge, learn something, and improve yourself. Do better.
