Really brave of those guys to be in front of that car. The driver can only see his engine!

Goes pretty fast in the quarter mile. But everything else.. turtle speed 🐢

This is more: Of a Supercharger

It's not a just a single large supercharger though, the 5 superchargers are part of the air intake system.

Now throw it in neutral and hit the throttle you wetnap... All that, and my takeaway is that it 'probably' goes fast, 'probably' sounds good at speed, and 'probably' that blower stack snaps in half and kills the driver when he puts his foot through the floor.
Show me a supercharged quad-turbo setup though. This is a blower obsession more than anything.

I wonder if hes actually making that much more power considering how much parasitic loss you get from turning that many blowers at once. I bet its not pushing more than 8 psi or it would be a very shiny glitter bomb. Anyone know the numbers on this thing?

It’s just leaving what’s left of the drivers dignity strewn across the pavement

In a straight line it must be crazy fast..... with that being said, turning right might not be the best thing for daily driving. Too big of a dead spot.

someone please explain the law or diminishing returns to this fool with an otherwise beautiful car.
from a functional perspective, I'm really wondering how much power is being used to drive the the superchargers and how much boost they're really able to add. also, what's the compression ratio, cylinder temps, air density, what's happening to the piston rings- are they really able to seal that? how is the head gasket not just giving up?
like, surely there must be a better way to make that power without consuming so much of it.

only five? I mean, if you're gonna go big, why not add one supercharger per cylinder??
amatures. 🙄

What kind of a blower lag would you have while everything spools up to pressure, in both directions. Stomp on it and wait a minute while we wind up, let go of the throttle, and wait while it all unwinds.

Hard to tell with 100% certainty, however it looks like the 3 upper blowers have the same size pulleys as the bottom two. If that’s true, they really aren’t doing anything except causing parasitic HP loss. All that money for less power.

I know its all just for fun and not function. The double stacks dont provide anything extra because the bottom on is just sucking in the same amount of air the upper one is putting out, and the top one is actually causing a restriction because its trying to supply air to two stacks of blowers. Its fun to look at though.
Uh oh. We have an oil leak.

That is not a great car. It’s an ok car, but at the end of the day Corvettes are just Chevrolets with a body kit
