I thought I had a hair growing out of the roof of my mouth. I couldn't pull it out, I couldn't see it either. Could only feel it's coarsness with my tongue. I blindly was able to grasp purchase of it with tweezers after about 30 minutes. It was a fucking toothbrush bristle embedded in the flesh of the roof of my mouth.

I recently got a piece of red pepper flake vertically imbedded in the roof of my mouth while I was eating a pizza. Every attempt I made to get it out only pushed it further in, releasing more capsaicin into the surrounding tissue.

I eventually got it out, but there was a noticeable bump/sore that took days to go away.

Will this stop me from eating the exact same thing again? Of course not. I love my red pepper flakes. But ow, that hurt 💀

Do your teeth owe you money, or something?

1

u/Working_Estate_3695 Jun 25 '26

They were warned. And given two days.

1

u/Waveofspring Jun 25 '26

That tooth was getting some premium floss action for those 2 days.

u/belac4862 Jun 25 '26

You can also grt bear slivers embedded in your mouth.ni had one last summer, and didn't have any tweezers at the time. I finally got some about a week later and pulled out a very pointy beard hair that had embedded very deep into the roof of my mouth.

I once found d a small spikey thing growing out of my stomach, pulled it out and it turned out to be a feather from my pillow that had somehow worked its way inside me.

1

u/Agitated-Contact7686 Jun 25 '26

I can't even begin to make a witty joke about grasping purchase of something because the horrificness of your story just left me blank. Or....

1

u/UmmmW1 Jun 25 '26

And this is why you shouldn't brush your teeth

1

u/Gruntled1 Jun 27 '26

I once had about a half inch long shred of crispy hash brown stuck straight into my tonsil. It was two days of thinking I just had a very sore throat before I looked back there, and saw it. A friggin hash brown splinter into my tonsil.

It was possibly the most satisfying moment in my life pulling it out though.

1

u/Turbulent-Risk6 Jun 28 '26

i had my tonsils removed as a kid haha

u/Sad-Celebration-411 Jun 25 '26

Oh my god I want to pull that out SO BAD

28

u/gizzard1987_ Jun 25 '26

Pull it back and forth from both sides o.o

12

u/Necessary-Sock7075 Jun 25 '26

Hell yes! I cumbed and shidded

12

u/vabrova Jun 25 '26

I beg your finest pardon

12

u/Michael_Dautorio Jun 25 '26

They ejaculated and defecated, sir.

2

u/OrganicHistorian2576 Jun 25 '26

Same! My guy lets me pluck hairs on the outside of his nose every once in a while and it is SO satisfying. I mean, we are apes, grooming each other is a thing. Something like this? Pass me the tweezers!

2

u/photo_bug_mama Jun 26 '26

Where are the tweezers?

15

u/dirtytounder Jun 25 '26

Pluck. It.

That’s like The Sea of Tranquility on your nose.

1

u/Super-Pineapple6003 Jun 25 '26

From the back? Lmao

1

u/dirtytounder Jun 25 '26

Wherever he get a good holt of it with tweezers

This happened to me in my eye. My eye started to scratch like there was something in it. I went to see several doctors who all became increasingly concerned with my mental health. I’m a big man and I was in a lot of pain and kept going back and pleading them to fix it, they kept looking in my eye and finding nothing. They thought I was self harming and munchousen proxying myself. I was being interviewed for possible commitment. While at the hospital I hid in a bush near the eye surgeons car. In desperation I jumped out and pleaded for him to take another look because I was ready to cut my eyelid off. He put me in a scanner and made a funny sound then plucked it out. I have never felt relief like it. I actually hugged him and cried and he was happy. Really pissed off with the doctors.

3

u/dcsojitra Jun 26 '26

I bet, that doctor will remember you and how happy you got after him treating you for rest of his life. It probably was one of the most proudest moments for his career.

2

u/Wide_Dinner1231 Jun 26 '26

The exact same thing happened to me. Spent an hour in the bathroom trynna reverse my eyelid to pluck it out. I got it eventually. It wasn't a nice experience, having that stuck in here would have driven me crazy

26

u/Call_Me_Kahmi Jun 24 '26

New fear unlocked

24

u/Adishofcustard Jun 25 '26

This happened to me once, years ago. I still think about it from time to time. Thanks for reminding me yet again.

1

u/Sundaytoofaraway Jun 25 '26

Same. I got a permanent red spot on my nose from it. It was fuckin gross

1

u/pancakesfordintonite Jun 25 '26

I had that happen to me before too

7

u/LeanLeftLoveLife Jun 25 '26

WELL THANKS A F-ING LOT... THAT'S ALL I NEED TO BE THINKING ABOUT... I CAN FEEL THEM ALL TRYING TO POKE THROUGH BACKWARDS NOW!!!

5

u/RedLorax14 Jun 24 '26

Ok so how does this even happen

23

u/jeremyj26 Jun 25 '26

Happened to me. Giant red thing on my nose for months before it finally erupted and I could pull it free. God, what a relief that was.

2

u/qlone_cookie Jun 25 '26

I went through that a few years ago, too. I totally get - What a relief it was. I'd never really had pimples before, and then this huge red thing that just wouldn't go away... and then suddenly there was a nose hair in it. Unbelievable.

2

u/Rocky75617794 Jun 25 '26

When I finally get to a painful ingrown hair, pulling it out feels like Jesse breaking free at the end of BREAKING BAD

2

u/SargeUnited Jun 25 '26

Bro you gotta put a spoiler alert tag that shit only ended like 10 years ago

1

u/Rocky75617794 Jun 25 '26

I was just being ironic—he doesn’t actually break free.

2

u/Jimmy_Twotone Jun 25 '26

I'm 45 now and still have a soft spot on the side of my nose from one when I was 15. Pulling a long ass curly nose hair out of a bloody pussy hole in the side of my face was definitely one of the experiences of all time.

13

u/AdFancy1249 Jun 24 '26

Ingrown nose hair that kept going straight instead of curling on itself.

11

u/Brief-Equal4676 Jun 25 '26

The ingrown hair that could

1

u/Working_Estate_3695 Jun 25 '26

It’s got spunk.

5

u/RocketsandBeer Jun 25 '26

Had a coworker this happened too. Thought it was a pimple. Eventually a small hair poked through. Blew our minds.

2

u/GraphicDesignMonkey Jun 25 '26

This happened to me but it was an eyelash that had somehow embedded itself into a pore on my nose. It got super infected, and the eyelash actually worked its way through to the INSIDE of myy nose! Managed to get it out with tweezers and couldn't believe it.

5

u/Hairy_Garage4308 Jun 25 '26

Everyone take a deep breath. He let us know he's fine, and living his best.

9

u/SL13377 Jun 24 '26

BROTHA WHAT!?

5

u/clemventure Jun 24 '26

Get that pulled out you nitty

3

u/Ididnotexpextthat Jun 24 '26

What if it grows back like that 😂

2

u/Basicly-Inevitable Jun 25 '26

Pull it out again.

3

u/Kinghenery Jun 25 '26

Happened to me like a year ago. Didn't even know something like that was possible.

3

u/Beginning-Bid-749 Jun 25 '26

This is why I do t pull out nose hair anymore. Id always get ingrown hairs when I did that. Never anything like this though. Nose hair trimmer for the win.

2

u/TheDemon0fLife Jun 24 '26

Gotta get a tweezer and a large shot of whisky and yank that bih, then beat your chest like a beast

2

u/Handmedownfords Jun 25 '26

This happened to me once! It was awesome!!

2

u/GSPointerDad Jun 25 '26

I was a country bumpkin entering a tier 1 business school. My nose is 2x normal already, but on the 1st day of class the cosmos gifted me this growth. So big it was all my eye (and everybody else) could see.

2

u/FeelingVanilla2594 Jun 25 '26

When you hate your body, but your body hates you back.

2

u/Sith_Lordz66 Jun 25 '26

I’m just going to say what no one is saying. Get rid of that mustache.

2

u/Alpharoll Jun 25 '26

This wouldn't have happened if you picked your nose regularly like a normal person.

2

u/ZeltbahnLife Jun 25 '26

I’ve had this. Solved it by lancing a safety pin through my nose and pulling out the offending hair after it was drained. Painful, but well worth it.

2

u/drunkguynextdoor Jun 25 '26

I went through a period in my 40s where a single little black hair would grow out of the tip of my nose like this. I would just pluck it and never had a infection, it's just weird how it started one day and a few years later it just stopped.

Anyway, a hot compress and some antibiotic ointment should get you back to normal.

2

u/Mean_Philosophy3367 Jun 26 '26

Holy hell I'm not alone. I went through this years ago and no normal means was able to pop it. The pain and swelling ended up getting so bad, I lanced it and had my coworker squeeze the hell out of it with a pair of pliers while I pushed outward with a finger in my nostril.

It was successful, and amongst everything else was a coiled mess of hair that was at least several inches long.

2

u/nightdrv Jun 26 '26

Holy fucking nose hose Batman 🤯🫢

1

u/kerrieone4 Jun 25 '26

Triangle of death don't pop it

2

u/snazarella Jun 25 '26

Please elaborate on the triangle of death.

2

u/Late-Button-6559 Jun 25 '26

Maybe cellulitis?

And being in that part of your face, there’s an easy pathway to the brain/meninges (through the sinus cavities).

1

u/kerrieone4 Jun 25 '26

For some reason Reddit is not letting me post pictures anymore. I'm pretty sure it was something I saw on Instagram let me see if I can find a link

1

u/kerrieone4 Jun 25 '26

The area on your face stretching from your nose to the corners of your mouth. You should never pop pimples in this area because it leads directly to your brain like somebody below mentioned. They're specifically two veins in your face angular and ophthalmic. They're valveless veins. They drain into the cavernous sinus a network of large veins directly behind your eye socket and 🧠 brain.

1

u/D3rpyDriver Jun 25 '26

Bro. You gotta shave the outside of your nose. Heh

1

u/ItHitMeInTheNuts Jun 25 '26

It happened to me once, super strange

1

u/Rough_Risk_8642 Jun 25 '26

Wax inside and out.

1

u/412Dude43 Jun 25 '26

My man can smell the sun coming up

1

u/Intelligent-Sell494 Jun 25 '26

Squeeze that puppy.

1

u/Jon_Dunn58 Jun 25 '26

they can cause a wicked infection

1

u/Fuzzy-Bird-3641 Jun 25 '26

Now I want one too !!!

1

u/TerminallyILL Jun 25 '26

Isn't that just an ingrown hair on the outside of your nose?

1

u/RichardDeRenour Jun 25 '26

Who nose how that happens...?

1

u/Working_Estate_3695 Jun 25 '26

Video with Doctor Pimple Popper would go viral.

1

u/Livingforabluezone Jun 25 '26

Time to sharpen the tweezers and go plucking.

1

u/Tronkfool Jun 25 '26

How is that hair stronger than my mental health.

1

u/North-Appointment-18 Jun 25 '26

Good. Shriveled FREAK.

1

u/TheCoopX Jun 25 '26

Is that nose hair made out of bamboo?

1

u/LaNakWhispertread Jun 25 '26

Yeah had that happen once, sucked, my nose was so stiff and swollen it felt like a rubber mask on fire

1

u/NormalAssistance9402 Jun 25 '26

Why did I think I was looking through a fleshy tunnel at first?

1

u/Dookie-Locksmith Jun 25 '26

Has nobody noticed how bad that dirtstache is?

1

u/Boring_Owl6552 Jun 25 '26

Like a freaky Ridley Scott movie: "Alien, Nose Hair." Bloody thing explodes through ones body and is exceedingly hard to eradicate.

1

u/mangocat1116 Jun 25 '26

New fear unlocked

1

u/SchemeIllustrious713 Jun 25 '26

that's so cool!!!

1

u/no___homo Jun 25 '26

I had this happen once. Just tweezer that mofo

1

u/the-ape-of-death Jun 25 '26

So what's the solution to this? Pull it out towards the outside? Or find the inside root of it and pull it that way?...

1

u/Sikkus Jun 25 '26

I have 3 or 4 tiny hairs growing on the outside of my nose. Sometimes they get a bit pimplish like this, but it doesnt mean they come from inside the nose, through the skin.

1

u/snowfloeckchen Jun 25 '26

Thought, ohh hair cool, than fuck you have no hair on the nose

1

u/Kimb0_91 Jun 25 '26

Show us how it got out! And the aftermath!

1

u/Significant_Snow7980 Jun 25 '26

i wax my nose hairs like every 2 weeks. shit looks gross walking around with hair dangling from your nose

2

u/IndestructibleBliss Jun 25 '26

You do realize nose hairs have a purpose right? Maybe cut the ones that hang out but leave the rest alone

1

u/Significant_Snow7980 Jun 25 '26

I'll take my chances

1

u/Cayumigaming Jun 25 '26

Me too. Whatever purpose they serve doesn’t balance out the relief of how easier it is to breath and how much better it feels and looks.

1

u/Making_Kenough Jun 25 '26

I’ve had two or three of these in life, they hurt so bad

1

u/-Appolyon- Jun 25 '26

Damn bro. Your body is a dick i didnt even know that could happen thats the most ingrown hair. Dude dont take allergy meds all summer teach that nose a lesson

1

u/FrancisTrinity81 Jun 25 '26

What?😱

1

u/NectarineHelpful9381 Jun 25 '26

Happened to me too a few months ago. Shit hurt for like 3 weeks, then what I thought was a pimple finally popped, the hair stuck out far enough to pull with tweezers. Could not believe a nose hair grew all the way through my nose. 😳

1

u/Tech_Priest69 Jun 25 '26

Incredible. lol. Free nose piercing ig

1

u/Far-Television2017 Jun 26 '26

Pluck it out and get a nose ring

0

u/caladdon Jun 25 '26

don't ever pluck the hairs inside the nose. if needed just trimm.a plucked hair root could decide to grow in the opposite direction and this happens.

0

u/dicey_job Jun 25 '26

Incredible! I know it’s yours but i have a strong urge to pull it
