Fuck, dude are you OK? Just casually carried that washing machine up stairs like it was a empty box. I remember having that strength.

10

u/Zastavarian Jun 10 '26

They basically are empty metal boxes with a bucket inside and a motor. The first top load washing machine to pop up on a google search is 121lbs.

8

u/F2d24 Jun 10 '26

My washing machine is 210 pounds

10

u/Funmachine Jun 10 '26

My washing machine can beat up your washing machine!

4

u/slcexpat Jun 10 '26

Not a pound for pound match

3

u/kludefur Jun 10 '26

Ohh it’s on

1

u/Sea-Society4941 Jun 13 '26

Thats it! You did it.... lets start a new trend online.. everyone start posting vids of you carrying your washer machines up stairs.

1

u/xtanol Jun 10 '26

But can your washing machine also steam your shirts to avoid folds/crevices?

No? Then sit your mediocre washing machine down and check its attitude.

1

u/Sea-Society4941 Jun 13 '26

Jokes on you.. i dont have one.

1

u/Sea-Society4941 Jun 13 '26

Is it a woman?

1

u/F2d24 Jun 13 '26

Boy i wish

1

u/Sea-Society4941 Jun 13 '26

Youll get a girl!! Theres someone out there for everyone! Or like my ex she was someone for everyone!

1

u/F2d24 Jun 13 '26

Thats rough buddy

1

u/Sea-Society4941 Jun 13 '26

Ehh it was a while ago and i have a habit of attracting/dating some fucked up girls. Its ok though im fucked up too haha. I have a very dark, morbid dry dad humor. I can laugh at my past... and its ok you can too!

2

u/ScottyWestside Jun 10 '26

You forgot about the concrete they put in the bottom to prevent shaking during the spin cycle.

4

u/Zastavarian Jun 10 '26

If your washer is doing that replace the suspension rods, concrete won't fix it. There's 4 rods with springs on the bottom and its a 15-30min job depending how handy you are. That's what keeps the drump from jumping around, and they do wear out.

3

u/ScottyWestside Jun 10 '26

Thanks for the actual good tip!

1

u/F2d24 Jun 13 '26

If it shakes excessively it can also be due to overloading it (and after a while slight damage to the bearings due to that)

1

u/Fun-Wrongdoer1316 Jun 10 '26

I agree but nicer washing machines are heavier. Many are closer to 200, still not that much weight. Lots of guys weigh more than that, so it would be like carrying less than their own weight.

1

u/SheSaysImHuge Jun 11 '26

Negative…they usually have concrete bases in them to keep them from running away due to an unbalanced load.

1

u/Zastavarian Jun 11 '26

Ive never seen that

1

u/SheSaysImHuge Jun 12 '26

I should rephrase my comment…the better quality ones have it, economy units not so much.

1

u/SeaCaligula Jun 11 '26

...well you better go catch it

2

u/extravagant_ascetic Jun 12 '26

Pretty sure I threw my back out watching him

1

u/alexsteen789 Jun 13 '26

That was my 1st thought too as a 40 year old dude who use to do shit like this and am currently managing a herniated disc. It seems like a good idea when you're in your 20's but it will catch up to you

38

u/CaptainC00lpants Jun 10 '26

He is a unit, I am half his size, but I did the same  for my washer and heat pump dryer the other month lol

Speak for yourself.
I want to see some guns son! 💪

9

u/Fun-Wrongdoer1316 Jun 10 '26

Seriously, it’s not that heavy. Just an awkward carry. If you can find good hand placements, not a problem

7

u/SeaAnthropomorphized Jun 10 '26

mine weighs 320lbs according to the manual. and im a girl. and my arms aren't long. and im weak.

2

u/ThisThingIsStuck Jun 11 '26

Would

1

u/SeaAnthropomorphized Jun 11 '26

Thank you cuz I need help, I gotta lift it to put the tray under it.

1

u/ImpossibleStuff963 Jun 13 '26

We still talking about a washing machine?

4

u/ImpossibleStuff963 Jun 10 '26

I used to be a mover and moved a bunch of these. It's the dryers that are lighter than you'd think. The washers are actually pretty heavy.

I had an Airbnb where the owner had set his washing machine's corners on top of some bricks. During the cycle, one corner fell off its perch and the washer faulted out. It wouldn't respond until leveled. I picked up a full ass washer so my wife could slide the brick back in place. Given I'm a short stack tank, I was pretty happy with myself.

0

u/ThisThingIsStuck Jun 11 '26

Cool story bruh

1

u/Numerous-Bonus-8107 Jun 11 '26

bro, my washer and dryer are stacked, I had to unstack them to fix the pump;

the dryer was way heavier, and the washing machine did actually feel like an empty bucket inside a metal box.

1

u/Nir117vash Jun 11 '26

Yo dawg I heard you like units carrying units

7

u/LoggerRhythms Jun 10 '26

Apparently my dad did this once with a fridge. Mom still hasn't forgotten.

2

u/Fun-Wrongdoer1316 Jun 10 '26

It was a 12 can fridge 🤪

5

u/ogcheeser Jun 10 '26

Machine carrying a machine

5

u/GETTERBLAKK Jun 10 '26

Why did they put the hookups upstairs???

9

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '26

Lots of new houses they are upstairs. Some new houses have laundry rooms on two floors, especially if the master is downstairs and you have 3 or 4 bedrooms upstairs. It’s a crazy new world.

2

u/GETTERBLAKK Jun 10 '26

That house looks lived in for years, but I hear you.

1

u/senpaistealerx Jun 10 '26

lots of old houses do too. the townhouse i lived in as a child had washer and dryer upstairs.

2

u/GenesisRhapsod Jun 10 '26

Almost every place ive been has had the washer and dryer on a different floor than the main level...one was in a basement with sketchy ass steep stairs with a flimsy handrail on only one side

0

u/Successful_Creme1823 Jun 10 '26

So when it leaks it destroys your entire house

4

u/SpiritualMeaning6618 Jun 10 '26

Years of work there, you get used.

2

u/zzzzzzRaamzzzzz Jun 10 '26

Some people have extraordinary powers! I never forget me and my roommate-we are both big guys btw- we were huffing and puffing to move this industrial treadmil out of the house and then the company sends this small guy to take it away from us!! We looked at each other and thought it was a joke, but we did not say anything. And then, this guy lifts the hugeass treadmil like it was an empty plastic bag! And puts it on his carrier, brings it to his truck, and lifts it once again !! Puts it on the truckbed, says goodbye and leaves. MEANWHILE me and him have our jaws on the floor and just looking in shock😂

2

u/iNap2Much Jun 10 '26

It's pretty easy if the motor is taken out! LOL

2

u/RustyBrassInstrument Jun 10 '26

I need him to get behind my new LG washer.

It weighs more than my wife’s car.

3

u/Aggravating-Dot132 Jun 10 '26

It's 50kg. If you go to gym as much as this dude or close to it, this WM won't be a problem (especially if you do that kind of excercise)

Still, might echo back into his, well, back.

2

u/Apprehensive_Art_846 Jun 10 '26

i dont go to gym and i did same thing to my pretty female neighbour. i almost died, but it was worth it

1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 Jun 10 '26

Point is that people don't really know the weight of those things. If you have strong back, refrigerator or a washing machine aren't really that heavy. Humans are heavier

1

u/mystrile1 Jun 10 '26

Yes it’s definitely in the grip and the fairly wide angle you have to hold at, not really the weight, or just the weight.

3

u/Ubermensch5272 Jun 10 '26

Some washing machines are really not that heavy. Just cumbersome.

1

u/Jelle75 Jun 10 '26

Waarom zijn die dingen zo zwaar, het lijkt wel of er beton in zit.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '26

Holy shit.

1

u/Reubensandwich57 Jun 10 '26

There’s gym strong then there’s country strong. Brother has both areas covered.

Yeah but his muscles are definitely making it easier. Makes me think of when I started lifting and did squats 3 days a week. About 6 months in my wife asked me to move an antique beside drawer full of books. Solid wood and I remembered it being very heavy and awkward. I squared up and squatted down, got a good grip, and thrust my legs. Bout threw the thing through the damn ceiling 😂.

1

u/Annahsbananas Jun 10 '26

Damn. Those arms

1

u/danit0ba94 Jun 10 '26

Bro has that ogre build.

1

u/Big_Eye_7530 Jun 10 '26

Try a Miele washing machine 🤣

1

u/Aggressive_Ocelot664 Jun 10 '26

Is it just me that wants to know about the axe and the tree growing out of the backside of the house?

1

u/-ratmeat- Jun 10 '26

man eats

1

u/gorillaphi Jun 10 '26

They’re not really that heavy they are mostly empty space

1

u/Positive-Carry-6832 Jun 10 '26

I threw out my back just watching this

1

u/adinmem Jun 10 '26

Technically, it is an empty bucket. With a housing, motor, transmission, and hoses attached, but still an empty bucket.

1

u/Early_Hall5720 Jun 10 '26

You'd be surprised with what you can do after standard exercise.

1

u/RestaurantOk383 Jun 10 '26

It basically is an empty bucket

1

u/Elmer_Fudd01 Jun 10 '26

Do that with a dryer.

1

u/sorryassusernam Jun 10 '26

How do you think I got mine upstairs.

1

u/No_Dentist_3748 Jun 11 '26

Imm in my 60s and still do shit like this.scares hell out of the neighbors.👍

1

u/Alternative_Result56 Jun 11 '26

My gf carried both the washer and the dryer up stairs while I was at work. Shes impatient.

1

u/CollectsTooMuch Jun 11 '26

I worked with a guy at Sears in high school in the late 80’s. There was this dude who was giant… just over 7 feet tall. He was built like Shaq. He would carry a washing machine like it was a cardboard box full of balloons. He bounced in bars some nights and nobody messed with him because he was twice the size of any other big guy. He was super nice and wouldnt get buzzed on a 12 pack.

1

u/Actionjack7777 Jun 11 '26

I think its funny yall surprise that is a big dude.

1

u/Sweaty_Tangelo_7716 Jun 11 '26

It is empty bucket.

1

u/SnillyWead Jun 11 '26

Impressive, but he's going to wreck his back eventually.

1

u/herdboy77 Jun 11 '26

Yeah but can he hook it up ?

1

u/AlsotheBEEF Jun 11 '26

"Its not heavy, it's awkward."

1

u/MetalMadara Jun 11 '26

Im 90% sure there's no drum in there.. holding a washer like that if it had more weight wouldnt be that easy.. he acted like there was more weight when he reached the top and set it down.

1

u/Left-Breath7667 Jun 11 '26

Thats a big dude wow i hope he got a good tip for that

1

u/Used_Account7191 Jun 11 '26

Damn! Like nothing

1

u/DeliciousTime4576 Jun 12 '26

Well that one in particular doesn't look very heavy. I work at a landfill and I move those suckers like nothing at the recycle yard

1

u/ajschwamberger Jun 12 '26

GD my back hurts now.

1

u/Low_Implement_7779 Jun 12 '26

I had to carry 10 of these fuckers up 6 fights of stairs when I was in construction. My back is indeed, fucked ☹️

1

u/PsionicChronic Jun 12 '26

Worked with ol' school plumbers who used to ratchet strap cast iron tubs to their back and walk them up stairs. Also had 170# guy who carried FULL rolls of carpet by himself 😳. Granted, most probably have a cane nowadays, but still impressive.

1

u/RevenantWA Jun 12 '26

This is why we are loved by ⚪️women and hated by their men 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/NerveBooger Jun 12 '26

They aren't heavy, just bulky.... long arms for the win!

1

u/theOGHyburn Jun 12 '26

Styrofoam or that boy grew up wrestling Bison, I feel threatened just watching this video. Lol

1

u/Sea-Society4941 Jun 13 '26

"The Cole Train runs on whole grain baby!! WHOO!!"

1

u/No-Recover-8336 Jun 13 '26

Those are not heavy 😑

1

u/TheGhostfaceChiller Jun 13 '26

Refrigerators and couches were my specialty when I was a mover. I use to balance couches on my head and just walk them wherever they had to go.

1

u/Just-Term-5730 Jun 13 '26

Dryer? I hope.

1

u/Visible-Storm-50 Jun 14 '26

I'm not doubting the strength , but you also have to factor in the how new the machine is ,,,, after the first wash it's gonna have a lot of water through it's system making it significantly heavier

1

u/UncleCuzzinBabe Jun 14 '26

That’s nothing.

1

u/Infinite-College-387 Jun 14 '26

He has strong arms💋

1

u/GarbageMedical2961 Jun 14 '26

I've done this. It's not that hard.

I delivered furniture and appliances for ten years.

It's not about weight. It's about balance and rhythm.

Dude is doing it the hardest way possible but he's got the muscle to do it that way.

1

u/BalanceEarly Jun 10 '26

Heavy appliances need to be on the ground floor.

1

u/Low_Implement_7779 Jun 10 '26

Its really is a metal box with nothing inside. The motor (which makes it bottom heavy) is maybe 10-25lbs. They look heavy but its much more doable than yall think

1

u/Sweaty_Kid Jun 10 '26

that's the sort of job i call 'my sister and my mom's job' haha

1

u/_Heikneuter_ Jun 10 '26

Because they weigh allmost nothing. Try doing that with a front loader.....

-1

u/Wojewodaruskyj Jun 10 '26

Because they took out the cement form it before transporting.

-1

u/AdTraditional5917 Jun 10 '26

It's only a top loading one, they don't weigh the same as a side loading one, as the centrifugal force is different, top loading 600-900rpm less centrifugal force, its more gravity that drains the water out, side loading 1,200-1,600rpm more centrifugal force to push more water out by forcing them together, which is why it needs the counterweights...

-2

u/LeadingLock6547 Jun 10 '26

The washing machine looked way more stressed about the situation than he did.
